The Book

"Twyla wake up. Wake up!" Brody says while shaking me awake. "Alright I'm up,I'm up. What's going on?" I ask rubbing  my eyes trying to get up. "Look outside,the citizens are marching down the street with signs. "Brody says with confusion. "Woah maybe it's a protest or something. Let's go check it out." I change into my adventure clothes instead of my pj's. We walk onto the streets with people chanting. "Queens Parade Today!" I forgot today was Queen of England Parade. I immediately spotted a guard around the corner and immediately panicked. "Brody there's a guard over there. We must go to the warehouse, now." Brody and I run towards the warehouse as fast as we can without getting noticed. "Hurry open the door before the guard sees us."Brody says while keeping a lookout.

"Got it, now get in." Brody rushes in and almost falls over my foot. "Now find the light switch so we can see." I say as I am closing the door. We search for a while until Brody finally finds it. "I found it!" "Good job, now we can find the Evalon." We look all around, but this mysterious book on the shelf keeps calling my name. Twyla. Twyla. Twyla. "Hey Brody, I think I might have found it. Up there on top of the bookshelf." "Alright I will climb up and get it." Brody says while climbing up. He drops the book down to me and comes down." Brody maybe we shouldn't open. It is a powerful book." "Why?" I was going to tell him that the book spoke to me but I kept the thought to myself. "Never mind you can open it." As soon as Brody opened the book,purple mist and a note flew out. *Coughing on mist* "Hey look a note." I say as I grab the paper. "Read it aloud Twyla." I read it aloud with worry.

"I think my parents are alive." I say with tears in my eyes. "Wait what do you mean your parents are still alive?" Brody asks while closing the book. "I've read in newspapers that the greatest detectives died in a car crash when I was little. "I really don't like crying. "Oh I am so sorry Twyla. Maybe we can find more about your parents in the book" Brody says while getting the book out of my backpack. "We won't find anything. They were great but I don't think they will be in the book." I say as I wipe my tears.

"Let's go back to the tower and look through things. We can find your parents,ok?" Brody sounded more serious then ever. He pulled me up from the floor and hugged me. "Ok we'll go back to the tower. Hurry before the guards see us." Brody says while releasing me from his arms. Instead of going out the main door, we went through the tunnel. As were walking to the tower I tell Brody everything. "Before they died or disappeared,we always went to theme parks and carnivals for family time." "Where were they all you when your parents were at work?" "Well sometimes I would go to my friends house or I would stay home and I do homework until they came home. Sometimes I would play with my cat Belle." 

We arrive at the tower and start to head upstairs. I unpack my backpack and put the Evalon on my bed. "Alright now do you have any papers about your parents to find information?" "Yeah I will get them they are in a secret place." We search through tons of papers while  talking. "So who is this Tatia? Is she like this spirit who haunted your parents?" Brody asks while searching through papers. "I really don't know who she is. It might be her code name for something that only Levi knows." It's been hours searching for good information about my parents. Talking to Brody was fun and I felt like I could tell him anything. "I found something about who your parents worked with. The first name is Levi then Tatia." Brody says while jumping up on my bed next to me.

"There are coordinates that could lead to where one of them lives. What if we try to find them? I know I am sounding selfish but we should follow those coordinates for my parents,
please?" "Alright we will go just let me pack my bag." Brody says while grabbing his backpack from his sleeping area. "Thank you,now bring the map and the corresponder so we know where we are going." Now all I can think about is my parents.
