It's very important to make the readers feel that they are actually in the story—the ambiance of the place, the character's feelings and actions. This means detailing every single thing that the character sees—how the place looks like and the emotion of the character at the moment. Why do we have to be so detailed? So that the reader will know how the story goes and will have a better picture of it!
Take a look at this example:
I'm at the park, waiting for my best friend Lianne. It's very loud in here—kids playing in the playground, couples making out everywhere, shirtless hot guys playing soccer, fit and sexy girls in the volleyball court, too much people. Lianne has not arrived yet when a guy came and started doing magic tricks in front of me. "How do you do that?", I amazingly asked the him. He's wearing a black shirt, dark navy blue skinny jeans and a two-inch-high-cut converse. He's tall, dark and mascular! He's wearing shades thus, I can't see his eyes. But he has this red lips and army cut hairstyle.
