Chapter 1

I was slowly walking down the street, the air was cold and the night was dark. I turned right and picked up my speed, this was the part I was dreading the most. I had to walk down the eerie alley to get home. Rats scurried along the ground looking for anything they can get there paws on. The light flickered, making the atmosphere scarier and more like an old horror movie. A loud bang made me jump I turned my head so quickly i felt a burning sensation travelling up my neck. A fox hoped out the bin and ran off. My heart started to beat out of control, it felt as if it would come out of my chest at any moment. I started to race through the alley.

I was 5 minutes away from my house. I felt eyes burning a hole in my back.  I tried to run faster knowing that there was someone following me, my legs starting to feel numb and my heavy breathing started getting worse with every step I took. I got to my doorstep and swung the door open,nearly taken it off it's hinges. I locked the door making sure i would be safe from whoever was out there. I ran to my room quickly jumping into my bed and hiding under the covers. I slowly drifted away, the darkness engulfing me.
