Chapter 2

A few days after her first introduction to Kieran, Adalia was rushing to her next lesson, not really watching where she was going, when she felt herself collide with a muscular structure, which seemed to be wearing a leather jacket. Startled, she looked up and saw Kieran staring down at her with a small smirk on his face.
" You really should watch where you're going, not all people you'll bump into are as forgiving as me " he chuckled. Adalia flushed red on her cheeks, as she sheepishly smiled down at the floor in embarrassment. Realising she was still in Kieran's arms, she stepped backwards and laughed,
" Sorry, I'm so clumsy."
" Don't worry about it, I like that in a girl" Kieran winked as a flirtatious grin grew on his lips. He then walked away softly brushing her shoulder as he passed her.

For the rest of the day Adalia could not get her second encounter with Kieran off of her mind. There was just something about him that she couldn't quite pinpoint but it made her like him and she hoped there would be many more encounters ahead.

She didn't have to wait long. The end of the day arrived and as she walked to her locker, she saw a familiar figure standing there. She wasn't sure why he was there. Did he like her? Did he just not realise the locker was hers? Her thoughts were interrupted by Kieran's voice,
" Hey clumsy, thought I might catch you if I waited here," Adalia was confused as to why he would want to 'catch her', thoughts of anxiety and excitement were racing through her mind, but she managed to keep calm and give a cool yet, flirtatious reply,
" And why might you want to catch me?" she winked at him, as she chuckled and licked her teeth.
" Well, you're the only girl in this school who isn't high maintenance and desperate, so I wondered if you'd show me around town, also it's a good excuse to get to know you" he said in a deep tone, which sent shivers down Adalia's spine.
" I'm sure I could make time for you."
With that, Kieran gave her his number and told her to call him when she was free.

Adalia called her bestfriend Emma, telling her to get over to her house fast, as she had exciting news to tell and needed help preparing herself to go exploring with Kieran.
