The Parting of Ways

Before Rose knew it she was roaming again in the halls of Hogwarts. Each month passing by incredibly fast and not long after the trio were facing the first Hogwarts exams. This made them constant visitors at the library.
"Agh!" Albus grunted in frustration "We need a break! We been studying for the last month and I don't think my brain can keep in information in any longer!"
"I know we've been sitting for months, but Al the exam start tomorrow!" Rose said.
"So what? we deserve a break before tomorrow!"
"Yeah Rosie, I think Albus is right we been spending most of our time in the library and Im also kind of desperate to get some fresh air or have a game of exploding snap or something... just enjoy a day for once!" Scorpious told Rose.
Rose sighed as she set her books aside.
"Okay, okay! you're right I think we are more than ready for the exams.."
Albus and Scorpious cheered as Rose allowed them for the first time in what felt like months go outside and play a game of exploding snap with fellow students. The game went on for what felt like hours and Rose found myself enjoying herself.
"Hey come on Rosie!" Scorpius complained, as Rosie was winning that round.
"Ha ha! and you thought you were the best at this game"
"Ha! you can't even win with me here!"
"Yeah I can mister!" Rose said as she pulled Scorpius towards her in a playful spirit, Scorpius laughed and gave her a kiss in the cheek which make Rose blush and let him go. The two seem to realize what had just happened and stared at the ground for both of them had felt something between them.

After the game of exploding snap they didn't really get a chance to see each other since that week came in a rush of exam, grades and strict teachers. It was a nightmare for any student, but alas they were happy to say that most of them had passed with very good grades and they where more than ready for summer vacation.
Rose and Albus were sitting down in the chairs in the room of requirement when they heard the door open, Scorpius had just entered he smile as he sat in front of them and said:
"Well this is it then guys we finished our first year"
"Yeah I guess so"
"I can't believe how fast it went that fast!"
"Yeah"
The trio was filled with sadness even though they knew that the funnest days of the year were sure to come, but they couldn't help it they weren't going to be together. They were parting ways.
"You promise you're write, both of you" Scorpious said with worry.
"We will and you promise to write us back right?"
"Of course Rosie"
And so just like that their year was over and before they knew they were back at their homes enjoying from the summer breeze.

Rose was sitting by her window still when she heard her father open the door to her room:
"Hey Rosie you okay?"
"Yeah dad I just really miss Hogwarts it kind of felt like home"
"I know the feeling Rosie... well come on you better start packing tomorrow we leave for the potters'"
"Oh yeah! I almost forgot!"
Rose said as she got to packing, making sure that she had at least 10 books with her. She continued to pack for a few minutes before she heard a tap at her window. It was an owI, Alice's owl. She excitedly opened the window. What could Alice want? She gave the bird bread before opening the letter.

Dear Rosie,
I hope you're having an amazing summer! I know I'm doing great, but I just really wanted to give Albus something for his birthday that's coming up and I dont know what. Could you tell me what he likes please? It would mean the world to me.
Thank you! With love Alice.

PS: No I do not like Albus I just want to give him a birthday present like every other normal person does!

Rose smiled as she there the letter away and prepared to write her reply. She wrote about how Albus loved the color blue and how he enjoyed licorice wand and Bernie Bott's every flavor beans, she also teased Alice about Albus playfully, knowing that Alice probably liked him. She snickered as she thought of how the two would look together. Eventually she sent her reply with her owl and continued to pack her things.
