"Why did you think I was about to hit you?" he asked.
"I-I don't know. You looked mad." I stuttered, looking down.
"You're hiding something from me."
"N-No. I'm not." I was a bad liar. Really.
"You can tell me everything Kay. I'm here for you." he whispered, hugging me again.
"Can we go home first? I'm not comfortable talking to you here." I chuckled, wiping the last tears that had fell down my cheeks.
"Sure. Come on." he said, handing me his hands. I took it and we got out of the fast food. We walked home and when we got there, Harry made me tea and I waited for him in the living room. I was nervous. I never told anyone about this and Harry would be the first to know. I didn't know how he would react, but I guess I was about to find out.
"Thank you." I said, as he gave me my cup.
"Are you even sure you want to tell me this? I-I just don't want you to think I'm forcing you." he said.
"No one knows about that. So, you'll be the first one. I think it's a good idea to get it out."
"You can tell me everything." he smiled, and put his hand on mine.
"Okay." I said, taking a deep breath and I started.
"I moved here two years ago with Elena and my family. I started school and I met Tyler. Um.. We became closer and closer and we started dating a few months after. Then, he punched me, like I told you earlier. After that, we went to a party. I wasn't really familiar with parties, so I just started dancing like everybody else was doing. I was having the time of my life with some guy. We were just having fun. When Tyler and I came back home, he started to yell at me for what I did. He was jealous. So, he punched me again that day. It hurt. I was laying on the floor begging for him to stop, but he didn't listen. He kept kicking me in the stomach and on my legs. It was awful. I can remember how hurt I was. But, then he apologized and I forgave him. Since then, the beating never stopped..." I choked the last sentence and started crying. Harry put my head between his hands and looked at me.
"Everything is okay now. I'm here. He's not. I won't let him hurt you ever again. You're safe now." he whispered.
"I'm just so scared..." I admitted.
"I know babe, I know. But, I promise to be here for you. I won't leave your side." he promised. I nodded and put my head in the crook of his neck. "Thank you." I said and he smiled.
"What do you want to do right now?" Dance. I wanted to dance so bad. Just so I could forget about today. But, no one knew about my secret hobby and I didn't want to tell anybody. It was my little secret.
"Um.. I was thinking about going to the library." I lied.
