Why was Mommy crying? Maybe I hurt her again. I've done it before. I remember when she took my teddy because I was being a bad girl. I had stared at her real hard until she started floating up. She was crying then. Now she looked worse. Like someone was going to die. There were people outside, I could hear them.

Daddy was standing at the door with a lamp in his hand. Maybe the crazy dog from next door got out again. Last time he did that, Daddy got really mad. Ryan was cuddling with me, and he was shaking. "Here bubs, take my blanket." I maneuvered my legs out of my fuzzy Belle blanket and gave it to Ryan. He looked at me with tears running down his face.

"Give us the girl and no one gets hurt!" A noise shouted outside. Daddy shook his head. "She's fine here! She hasn't done anything in ages!' My mother cried, squeezing me tighter. They were discussing my powers.

Daddy told me never to speak of those around anyone other than him, mommy, and Ryan.

"Louis, I am giving you ten more seconds and then we're coming in. Give us the girl. None of us are afraid to hurt you." The raspy voice shouted again. Mommy bellowed even louder. She started to stroke my hair, but I stood up and wiggled from her grasp.

I knew what these people wanted now. Mommy and Daddy always told me told me that my powers were harmful, but I knew better. My powers have harmed my family many more times than I can remember. Daddy lied when he told them it had been a while since I hurt someone. It was just last night that I pinned Daddy to the wall without even moving. I started to walk towards the door. Ryan grabbed my foot and shook his head.

"Don't go Evie, they will hurt you." He said. Ryan stared at me with those big blue eyes of his, and they were filled with concern. The scar surrounding his neck stood out to me more than it had ever before. I did that to my baby brother. I did that to Ryan, and I could do it again. But I won't let myself.

I kicked away his leg. He winced and cowered down. I picked up teddy and opened the front door. I could hear Mommy and Daddy screaming at me and crying. Instead of running back with them and giving them a hug to comfort their sadness, I walked outside and accepted myself to the people who wanted me.

The people who wanted my powers.
