Permanent Vacation

Chapter 1

May 18th-
"God I hate traffic! Why are so many people driving around at this time of night?"
"Well we are driving around at this time, maybe they just wanted McDonalds like us" Ava winked at me from the passenger seat of my car. Ugh why does she have to be so logical at times when I'm genuinely annoyed! But then again, we share the same amount of sarcasm so I'm used to it by now. She was right though, we were on our McDonalds at 11:00 pm (which was probably one of my least healthy decisions) and it looked like everyone else in this bloody town had the same idea! The que for the drive through was out of the parking lot and down the road! We were hungry though, so we sat through it listening to the radio and singing at the top of our lungs.

When we finally got home it was nearly midnight and I was now so hungry my mouth was watering before we were even through the front door.
"Okay you got everything?" Ava asked. Oh yeah in case you were wondering, Ava is my boyfriends twin sister, we became friends after me and Noah started dating and we just clicked I guess. It helps that her and Noah are really close as well, so that no one feels like a third wheel when we all go places together, but tonight we left Noah to get on with his band practise whilst we went out to get food.
"Yep we're good!" I replied as I shuffled out of the car with car keys in one hand and a cup holder in the other, closing the car door with my hip and locking it before making my way towards the house.
I don't live with Noah and Ava but I spend so much time with them I feel like I almost should!
I walked in first struggling to open the front door with my keys in my hand, I didn't want to risk dropping my Iced Lemonade on the floor, not after how long it took to get it anyway!
But all of that went out of the window when I saw what I thought I would never see. The rest of the band had gone (if there even was one!) and all that was left was Noah.......and this girl is never seen before.......kissing........right in front of me! I dropped the drinks on the floor and ran out of the house not bothering to turn back, tears streaming down my face.
"Hailey I can explain! Please wait!"
"NOAH JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! THERES NOTHING TO EXPLAIN! THE LIPSTICK STAINS ON YOUR FACE SAY ENOUGH!"
I was gone, Ava caught up with me before I could get into my car and pleaded with me to stay, to talk things through with him but I just needed to be alone. "Don't worry I'll call you later." I said out of the window as I pulled out of their drive and sped off into the night, my face wet with tears.
