Luke's pov

I arrived at home around 14:00 and dropped all of my belongings right inside the door. I darted to my room before any of my family members saw me.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

My mum walked into the kitchen and I stopped in my tracks.

"Where have you been?" She questioned with a slight grin on her face.

"Just a friends house" I knew that I couldn't tell her about Stella or I would ramble on and on about her beautiful personality.

"And what's this friend's name? Do I know them?" She kept throwing questions at me.

"Her name is Stella. No, you don't know her." I replied, dryly.

"Oh it's a girl?" She raised her eyebrows.

"Yes mum it's a girl. We are just friends" I tried to avoid blushing.

"Is she a nice girl?" She walked over to the fridge to get a glass of water.

"Yes. Bye mum. I'll be in my room" I mumbled, walking down the hallway to my room.

"Wait Luke!" She yelled.

I didn't wait, nor did I answer. I just kept walking to my room and shut the door when I got there.

I turned the radio on and put a Mayday Parade cd in it. I plopped down on my bed and took my phone out of my back pocket. When I turned it on, a notification popped up.

I didn't realise how long I had been in my room until I was called by my brother, Ben.

"Luke! Get your ass in the kitchen. It's time to eat." He was soon scolded by mum.

"Hey! Don't swear"

I walked out of my room and into the bathroom to wash my hands before eating. I let the warm water brush over my hands, slightly stinging any cuts.
