Chapter FOUR

Toni POV

Damn man . Shawty been through hell . Knowing where she comes from really makes me wanna be there even more for her. To show her that there is hope of having a better life than what she had before today. I wanna do something nice for her to get her mind off the past and to start focusing on the future.

" Hey , do you wanna go out ? " I asked her .

" What ?! I just met you ! " She screamed .

" No , not like that . I mean out , like to a club . I mean tomorrow is your 18th birthday . " I said .

" Oh no , I don't know anything about a club . " She said .

" It's okay , I'll be there with you . Nothing is gonna happen to you. You safe with me shawty . " I said .

" I can't , I don't even have a ID . " She said .

" Okay , let's go get you one right now . " I said .

" What ? I can't . I'm gonna have to take a picture and the way this hair looks it's not gonna happen . " She said .

" Okay , how about this . I take you get your hair , nails , and toes done , and then you can go get you a ID for tomorrow. " I said.

" I don't know Mr. Toni . " She said .

" Can you stop calling me Mr. Toni ? I'm only 21 , I'm not old . " I laughed .

" Oh , my bad . " She said laughing.

" Yeah , but do we have a deal ? " I asked .

" Okay . " She said with a big smile on her face .

" Good , now let's go . " I said .

We got in my truck and headed straight to the hair salon . When we got there she looked like she got nervous again.

" Are you okay ? " I asked her before we walked in .

" Yeah . I just don't know what to do to my hair . Never had it done at a salon before . " She said .

" Well , there's a first time for everything . Let's go . " I said holding her hand as we walked through the door .

Mimi POV

Its been a whole day since Tiara left . I haven't heard from her yet . I'm getting kind of worried about her . I'll text her later and check on her . I hope I get a message back . I miss my best friend already . Her dad came over here this morning looking for her . I told him I never heard from her in a while , and his dumb ass believed me . I pray she is safe where ever she is .

Tiara POV

We walked into the hair salon and they barely had girls in here . I was kind of happy because that meant I wouldn't be here too long just waiting . They had two girls in front of me . The first girl was getting some long braids done and the girl in the other chair was almost done with getting some kind of big braids done . Those where cute , but idk if that's my style . I don't know what the hell my style was to be honest. The girl that was doing the fat braids finished and the girl doing her hair called for me to come sit in the chair.

" What you wanna do to your hair ? " She asked me .

" Uh , I don't know. This is my first time coming to a salon and all my life all I ever did to my hair was comb it in a ponytail . " I said with my head down .

" Girl , I know you lying . " She said looking at me like I was crazy .

" Wish I was . " I said ashamed.

She just stood there and looked at me . She looked like she was thinking about something.

" I know just what we gone do for you . Just sit tight girl . " She said .

" Let me see your phone real quick . " Toni said.

" For what ? " I asked .

" Im gonna put my number in it . Call me when your done . " He said .

" Are you leaving me here by myself ?! " I asked with my eyes stretched wide .

" I'm just going new door and look at some clothes and stuff . " He said .

I gave him my phone . He put his number in and headed for the door .

" Don't worry , we gone take good care of you girl . You gone leave here looking like a new girl when we done with you . " the girl said .

" I hope so . " I said .

" Just watch . I got you girl because them eyebrows need some serious work . " She said .

" I know . I been through a lot and haven't had any time to keep up with all that . " I said ashamed.

" It's okay girl . All that's about to change . " She said .

I felt my phone vibrate in my hand and when I looked at it I seen that it was Mimi calling. I know she is probably worried about me so I answered.

" Hey bitch. " she said.

" Hey bitch ." I said back.

" Where are you ? I've been worried sick . " she said.

" Im away from my dad. Thats the best part. I met this guy who picked me up on side the road the night I ran away. He has been taking care of me. " I said.

" Well as long as your safe bitch that's all I wanted to hear. " she said.

" Thank you for checking on me bitch and the dude name is Toni. He is 21 and lives alone. He took me in and said I can stay with him until I get on my feet. " I said.

" Thats good friend. Im praying for you girl. Be careful . " she said.

" I am friend. Matter fact I'm at the salon now doing my hair. He is paying for me to get my hair, toes, and nails done for my birthday tomorrow. He wants us to go out. I want you to Be there. " I said.

" I would love to come, but I don't know where you are." she said.

" Well I'm gonna talk to Toni when he gets back too see if he can go get you. " I said.

" Okay, well call me later and Let me know hoe. " she said.

" I will bitch. Bye. " I said before hanging up.

I hope Toni agree to going get Mimi. I really miss my best friend.
