Toni POV

I wasnt with staying in no salon so I decided to go next door to the clothes store and find something for myself to wear. About two hours later I got a phone call from baby girl saying she was ready. When I walked back up to salon and watched as she walked out the salon door. Damn man shawty looking good as fuck. She got in and we headed to get her a ID since she was gonna be eighteen tomorrow. Good thing I got me some new shit because shawty was gone show my ass out tonight. Its been a while since I got myself new clothes. I buy shoes more than clothes. I pulled up to the DMV and waited for her to get down.

" You ready love? " I asked her.

" Yeah. You getting down or no? " she asked.

" Do you want me to? I mean you are an adult now. " I said jokingly.

" Yeah I know that but I would like your company while I wait. " she said.

" Okay then I guess I'll get down. " I said taking off my seatbelt.

I turned the engine off and locked my doors. We went in and she pulled her number. We went sit and wait on the last row.

" Hey Toni , I wanna ask you something. " she said.

" Wassup ma? " I asked.

" I dont wanna ask you for too much, but can you pleeeaasee go get my best friend so that she can come out with us ? I haven't seen her since the night everything went down. " she said.

" Where is she? " I asked.

I didnt have a problem with going get her friend for her. Fuck if it make her more comfortable tonight then by all means I'll do it.

" She's back in my home town. Its not too far being that I ran here from there that night you found me. " she said.

" Yeah I'll go get her for you. When do you wanna go get her? " I asked.

" Whenever is good for you. " she said.

" Thats up to you ma. We can go when she ready. " I said.

" Okay , well let me call her and see when she gone be ready. " she said.

She grabbed her phone and called her friend. She said she was about to get her clothes for tonight out.

" Okay so when we leave here we will head that way to pick her up. " I said.

" Okay, thank you so much. " she said hugging me.

Mimi POV

" Mimi, bring your ass down here. " my mother screamed.

" Im coming. " I said back.

" Dont fucking scream when you talking to me. Before I bat the piss out you. " she said.

I walked in the front room and my mama was sitting in her in her chair. Man one day Im gonna be like Tiara and break away from this life. Its starting to get the best if me. I havent told Tiara about how bad things are around here because I didnt want her to worry. My situation isn't as bad as hers was. One day I'll break free too.
