Philip picked up Vic at the hotel and drove her back to the network compound. They asked me to join them instead but I insisted that I'll drive on my own and just follow them. Of course I had to do that because if I let them take me to the ball I wouldn't be able to sneak out.

Vic and Philip just look stunning together, if I didn't know any better I would really think that they are officially dating. When we entered the social hall we were greeted by our colleagues and introduced us to their respective dates. Vic suddenly turned to me and asked where my date was and so I told her that he'll be running a bit late. I think she bought my alibi though 'cause she didn't ask further. I was waiting for the right timing to sneak out when the director of our department finished his speech, I took that time as a great opportunity to sneak out since the party has already started and the music is on its loudest.

I was about to walk towards the door when someone grabbed my arm and dragged me to the dance floor. I was too shocked to react and when we reached the dance floor I was even more shocked to see the face of the person who dragged me, my eyes widened... Patrick.

Keep your mouth shut or else you might catch a fly.” he teased me as he looked at my appalled face.

W-what are you doing here?!” That was all that I could say. Besides the fact that I was too shocked to see him here, he looks goddamn sexy tonight! ~_~

Well, I was invited here by Mr. Sy. He's your co-anchor right?”

Uhm, yes. You know him?”

He's a good friend of my father. He asked me to lay down the details of the house he plans to have built before his wedding. So he took the ball as an opportunity to discuss them with me since he's been quite busy. By the way you look gorgeous tonight sweetheart.” he smiled at me and I thought I just melted just seeing that smile of his. And to add on that he just called me sweetheart. *my heart! Please stop beating fast!*

A slow music played, If I remembered the title right I believe it was 'Save the last dance for me'. Great, now what?! 0_o

I was rather surprised when he placed my hands on his shoulder as he placed his on my hips.

We're on the middle of the dance floor so we better dance right?” he said as we started to sway to the music.

Don't you have a date?” I asked him since everything was too sudden.

I don't have one and since I figured you'd be here and you won't have one as well, I figured I'd come here empty handed.” he smirked and winked at me. I think I just died right there..

I faked a scoff and pinched his arm.

Ouch! What was that for?” he chuckled at me as we continued to dance to the music.

How dare you drag me here in the dance floor and ruin my plans of sneaking out?!” I pretended to sulk. “I was planning to sneak out and get some sleep and come back when all of this are almost over.” I added.

Well sorry sweetheart, because tonight you're my date. You can sleep in later.” That sweetheart thing is like music to my ears... ^_^

Like I have any choice now?” I tried my best to hide my blushing face. I know I shouldn't even bother feeling this way towards him but I just can't help it. Pat was too close for comfort so I decided to take a step back to have some space but he held my waist tighter and pulled me closer to him. I looked back at him with questioning eyes only to see his face leaning in closer to mine. He was getting closer until his lips are just inches away from mine. I closed my eyes and...
