I could feel the love on your finger tips,

and the beauty behind the words that fell off of your lips.

I breathed you in as we fell

to the crumpled sheets.

Your kisses were so slow,

so soft,

so real.

There has never been something to righteous,

as the moment your hands slid down me,

to my hips.

It was simple and pure...

Then our almost saintly ways shattered the moment

your lips let you moan.

It became devious,

greedy.

It was a hunger that couldn't be fed.

We no longer yearned for the soft, moonlight touches,

but the crazed screams for late-night fulfillment.

It fell to pieces when the sun came up,

when I could not longer smell the sugar on your breath.

and I saw the truth in the light.
