The long road awaits

The family walks in smiling very happy and cheerful. Was I getting adopted or a new roommate, I paused my music and I stared at them in silence. Finally the lady with long brown hair and brown I spoke

"You have a very beautiful voice."

I just stared at them blankly no expression. No emotion then they walked out with Ms. Caroline.

"There goes your chance at being adopted. No wonder your mom disappeared and your dad put you here. You socially awkward you couldn't even say hi. weirdo." A kid named Tommy said to me.

I didn't know that the man with a beard was still by my door and I didn't care. Thomas was the boys real named but if you called him that you'd regret it. He has always hated me since I've been here because I called him Thomas. He always made fun of me but never brought up my family. I was upset and crushed, When the parent situation happened I was old enough to understand and Tommy has never brought it up ever. I began to cry I couldn't take being here anymore, I had to get out of here pronto. I heard footsteps walk towards the office, then whispers. I couldn't make out what they were saying. Ms. Caroline walked backed in "Pack your bags Sky your getting adopted." She said with a smile. Was I really getting adopted?
