13: Where are you?

THOMAS' POV

Dribbling.

I can hear someone dribbling. At this time of day, it's unsual for someone to be here well aside from me of course. I usually go here every morning to work on my shooting. A shooting point guard is what any team needs and that shooting made Jeric Fortuna and Roi Sumang valuable for UST and UE respectively.

I walked in and saw Jeron shooting by himself. It's nice to see him outside of his room but it's not nice to see him acting like this.

He's desperate, out of shape and broken. I see myself in him five months ago. Worse part of being a guy, you have to pretend like nothing's wrong. You can't let others see that you're vulnerable.

Season's about to start in less than two weeks and a distraction like this is the last thing that our team needs.

Thomas: Bro, know the difference between mere throwing and shooting.

He stopped. Turned around and passed the ball to me. I run towards the ring, stopped by the 3-point arc and shoot!

Thomas: That's how you shoot.

Jeron: What are you doing here?

Thomas: The last time I checked, I'm still enrolled in this school and I'm still a part of this school's basketball team. Am I not?

He smirked and shook his head.

Jeron: That shot of yours was nothing. You're just inspired.

I got myself a ball from the basket and dribbled. He ran towards me and blocked my way. I continued to dribble as I try to move left and right while he's doing the same.

Thomas: Yeah, another championship trophy is a great inspiration.

I swiftly moved to my left, leaving him off guard. I ran towards the ring and made a layup shot.

Jeron: Your hardwork is really paying off.

Thomas: Hearing that from you means so much to me.

Jeron: You deserve it.

I got us another ball and dribbled but he raised his hand and walked towards the bench.

Jeron: Timeout muna.

I threw the ball back to the basket and plopped down near him.

Jeron: Have you seen Hanna? I heard that she's here.

Thomas: No, I haven't. Do you wanna see her?

Jeron: I don't know. Yes I do because I wanna know if she's fine. No I don't because I just might stop her again from leaving. I just might do stupid things again.

Thomas: Well, forgetting is not as easy as ABC. It takes time, patience and distraction. A lot of distractions actually.

Jeron: How long does it take for someone to move on from an unsuccessful relationship?

Thomas: I don't know. Days, months, years, forever.

Jeron: And how long did it take you?

Thomas: To move on? I didn't. Acceptance is the thing for me. I accepted that she ended things between us and the least thing that I can do is be her friend. Not to mention, being his twin brother's best friend gave me edge.

Jeron: You're lucky. I think Hanna and I need to have that one final talk. Our last talk left us hanging. We're loose ends.

Thomas: Well, maybe you need closure?

Jeron: How did you and Sam got your closure?

I chuckled.

Thomas: We didn't have that because we're not done yet. I'm not done yet. Our story is on pause and I am going to do whatever it takes to play that story again.

He shook his head and gave me a mocking smile.

Jeron: Everything? So why is telling her that you still love her not included in that? It could be that simple.

I've considered that before but no. Not yet.

Thomas: Words didn't work well for me before. Right now, I just want her too feel that I love her and she's one special.

He got two Gatorade bottles from his gym bag. He threw me one which I effortlessly caught.

Thomas: Thank you.

He nodded.

Jeron: Whatever your game plan is, I just hope that it'll work. However, better hurry up. Kief is doing a job on both.

I frowned. Kiefer. Tss. I don't hate him. I'm just annoyed at him. Can he just back off?

Jeron: Hey, I don't like the look on your face. It's as if you want to kill someone. Please, Lasallians are peace-loving people.

Thomas: Why can't he just back off?

Jeron: Why can't you just man up?

Thomas: Man up? Hindi pa ba manning up ang tawag sa ginagawa ko?

He shook his head.

Jeron: Not until you tell her what you really feel about her. Not until you tell her your real reason why you denied her before. Till that day, para ka pa ring grade school student na first time magka-crush.

Thomas: Which reminds me of your grade school crush! What's her name again?

I grinned. I remember the young Jeron who has a big crush on Chris and Nico Tiu's sister.

He elbowed me playfully.

Thomas: Hey, are you blushing? Total gay, bro ah. Hindi tayo talo!

He bowed down then shook his head.

Jeron: Si Veronica Tiu? Baka may boyfriend na yun.

I hit his stomach playfully.

Thomas: I just asked her name! I didn't ask kung may boyfriend na!

He glared at me.

Jeron: Shut up! But, Via looks really good. Dichi loves her so much. Do you think it's fine if I ask her on a date?

Thomas: Nothing's wrong with that but bro, date? You date when you're ready not when you're lonely.

Jeron: Well, you have a point. So, is that your reason why you're not dating anyone?

Thomas: I've tried dating before but I just end up comparing them to Sam. It's unfair for them.

Jeron: Kaya nga bro, man up!

Thomas: Do you think Sam still feels the same way about me?

He gave me a look that as if says 'are you ready for this?'

Jeron: I don't know. Only Sam knows but knowing her.

He paused. I hate suspense movies.

Thomas: Knowing her, what?

Jeron: Nevermind. Why are you asking anyway?

Thomas: I'm scared to tell her that I still love her because maybe after all that I did, one sided na lang 'to.

Srsly, I'm not afraid to try again. I'm just afraid of getting hurt for the same reason.

Jeron: You'll never know unless you ask her.

Thomas: It's hard, bro. Bakit si Hanna nga hindi matanong kung may chance pa kayo eh?

Jeron: Because like you, I'm scared too. What if she gives me another shot? Will LDR work? What would I do next?

Thomas: If she gives you a second chance then she loves you and she's a keeper so you should prove to her that you're worth the chance and you're a keeper yourself.

He smirked then opened and drank his Gatorade.

Jeron: Eh alam mo naman pala yun eh. Bakit hindi mo gawin?

Thomas: It's easily said than done.

He snapped his fingers.

Jeron: Exactly. We're hopeless, Tom. I think we should go talk to JC.

Thomas: Mas hopeless yun. JC and Nica are like How I Met's Marshall and Lily.

Jeron: What a lucky couple! Last couple standing.

Then there's silence.

Jeron: Tara, let's get Sam out of her class. I need some form of entertainment.

Thomas: Tara!

Jeron: Ayun. Pag kay Sam ang bilis bilis.

Thomas: I texted her earlier and she said that she misses me too. I can't let her miss me that much.

Jeron: Captain obvious.

Thomas: What?

Jeron: Wala!

Thomas: I'll try to call her first, okay?

I fished my phone out of my bag then dialled her number.

"The number you dialled is out of coverage area. Please try again later."

Jeron: Hey, what's wrong?

Thomas: Cannot be reached, bro.

Jeron: Nasaang kweba na naman kaya si Sam? Sam's like a bat. Laging nawawala pag umaga.

Where could she be? I hate this feeling that I can't contact her. I hate this feeling that I don't know what's happening to her or who is she with or how is she.

Jeron: Chill, bro.

Thomas: What? Why?

He gave me a pat on the back.

Jeron: Believe me, parang pusa lang si Sam. Siyam ang buhay. You worry too much about her.

Thomas: Am I that obvious?

Jeron: I just know because I've known you since level one and I'm familiar with your mannerisms.

Thomas: What?!?

Jeron: You keep on tapping your foot.

I looked down and yes I am tapping my foot.

Jeron: JC and I noticed that when you're worrying about something you keep on tapping your foot. Most of time, you tap your foot when Sam's out of sight.

Thomas: She can be clumsy at times. Also, her enthusiasm is just too much that she ends up hurting herself.

He stood up.

Jeron: Well, DLSU is not too big to look for one Sam Torregoza. Ano, let's look for her?

I nodded. I stood up and wait for Jeron as he is fixing his things.

We head towards the shower room so we can change our clothes.

Thomas: Hey bro! Konting bilis!

Jeron: Chill, bro!

While waiting for Jeron, I texted Sam.

To: Sam Torres

Why can't I reach your phone? Where are you? Mind replying/calling back? I miss you. Take care of yourself, clumsy!

I sent it to her and smiled. She still has that effect on me. Always have, always will.

Jeron: What's with that foolish smile?

He said as he went out of the shower. I shook my head as a response and started walking away. Okay, where could Sam be?

Meanwhile...

SAM'S POV

Hanna: Stop avoiding me. We need to talk.

Sam: Let go of my arm, Hanna. I'm late for my class.

I tried to walk away but her hand is still on my arm.

Sam: I said, let go of my arm. Can't you understand that simple English? You want me to translate that to Tagalog?

She let go of me. I don't want to make a scene but I don't want to talk to her either. I wanted to but seeing her for the first time after their break up changed everything. I don't know what to say to her. I don't know what to feel about her and the picture of Jeron crying because of her haunts me.

Hanna: Your prof's not there. Check your phone. Your friends might have texted you already.

I turned around. Walked two steps away from Hanna then groped around my bag, looking for my phone. My stuff can be messy at times. When I finally found it, I confirmed what Hanna said.

From: Vera *chick head emoji* 🐤

Saaaam! Sir's not around. You're one lucky girl! See you tomorrow! *fistbump emoji* 👊

I replied to her text, thanked her and stuff. Okay, I'm going home. This is my only class for today so peace out DLSU. I turned around and to my surprise, Hanna's still there.

Sam: AAAH!

SHE SCARED ME! I thought she's already gone!

Hanna: Shut up, Sam! Do I look like a ghost to you?

Sam: You scared me! What do want from me?

Hanna: We need to talk!

I started to walk away from her but she kept on following me.

Sam: You didn't break up with me. Talk to Jeron first!

Hanna: Please, Sam.

Sam: Let's just talk some other time. Not today.

Hanna: It's today or never, Sam. Today's my last day here in DLSU. I'm here not to attend my classes but just to fix my documents.

I faced her. She's really leaving.

Hanna: Everyone's avoiding me. Nica rejected my calls, Tom ignored my calls and JC told me to just stay away. You're my only hope Sam but you ran away.

She started crying and that made me feel guilty. Worse part is we're starting to get the attention of passersby. Ugh, privacy!

Sam: Fix yourself. Let's talk somewhere else. Lead the way.

I thought that she'd be bringing me to her place instead she brought me to Starbucks Torre. She ordered a Cinnamon Dolce Latte for me and a Hazelnut Macchiato for herself. Okay, is this a sign that we'll be having a long talk?

Hanna: Thank you for giving me this chance to explain my side.

Sam: You left me with no choice, Hanna.

She gave me a weak smile. I looked into her eyes and I can see that she's hurting too. That's true love.

Hanna: How long have we been friends? Can you still remember?

Okay, I mentally made a list of possible scenarios while we're on our way here but her asking that was not included in the list.

Sam: Level 1?

Hanna: Right. That was when you were crying on your first day in school because your grandma and JC left you alone.

I smiled. Yeah, those days. Grandpa and Grandma. I miss them but I know that they are both in a better place now.

Sam: You and Nica were already friends and you asked me if I'm a freak or something like that.

She smiled.

Hanna: Yes and you answered I'm not just a freak because I'm a warfreak so don't you dare mess with me. We actually liked you for that. And that was the day that Charlie's Angels was formed.

Okay, this is funny and embarassing at the same time.

Hanna: Remember our 'what do you want to be when you grow up' answers?

Sam: I will never forget Nica's answer.

We looked at each other. The joy of reminiscing is evident in both of us.

Sam/Hanna: Be an astronaut!

Then we laughed.

Hanna: I'm really glad that she met JC. I swear, I really thought that she'll be an astronaut.

Sam: Totally. With all that obsession to heavenly bodies. That girl's insane.

Hanna: You said that you want to become a CPA-lawyer like Tita Sophia. And look at you, you're an Accountancy student and you got a plus. You became a model.

Yes, I guess I'm living my dream

Sam: I remembered your answer! You want to become a fashion designer like your mom's sister.

Then I stopped. It's her dream to become a fashion designer.

Hanna: Sharp memory! But, look at me now. I'm far from becoming a fashion designer. I'm stuck in a course that my parents wanted for me.

She took a sip from her drink.

Hanna: The last few months have been really tough for Jeron and I. We've been fighting a lot and not the ordinary bickers that Tom and you usually bet on.

I stifled my laugh! How come? It's just between Tho and I eh. Tsktsk.

Hanna: Yes we know and we also know that you usually lost because you have too much faith in me. Sorry girl.

Am I that predictable?

Hanna: On as serious note, I know that Jeron already told you.

I nodded. Her face turned from cheerful to dull. Can we just go back to reminiscing our grade school days?

Hanna: Three months ago, I received an email from my cousin in New York. She told me that Fashion Institute of Technology is accepting applicants for a fashion designing course. I thought about it once, twice, three times. In the end, I opt to let go of that chance. I want to stay here. I want to be with Jeron.

I took a sip from my drink. I think popcorn is what I need right now. Okay, I know my side comments aren't helping.

Hanna: I didn't feel the need to mention this to anyone. What's the point, right?

Sam: If that's so...

Okay, Hanna's story is confusing.

Hanna: Last week, I got an e-mail from that school that says I completed the requirements and my exam is scheduled next month. My cousin also mentioned that to my parents and she also told them that I didn't apply for it. But, without me knowing, my parents applied for me.

She smiled.

Hanna: And for the first time in my life, my parents gave me the chance to live my dream.

Sam: How about Jeron? Why don't you give LDR a chance?

Hanna: Because I don't want to left him hanging. That's two years, Sam. Anything can happen. Virtual hugs, skype? Those won't work. Jeron needs someone who can personally hug him during bad days. Someone who can kiss his tears away. Someone who can hold his hand and tell him that everything will be alright. Do you think someone who's miles away can do that?

She heaved a deep sigh. It seems to me that this is not an easy thing for her too.

Sam: But other people manage to make it work. And you wanna know why? Because they want it to work!

Hanna: Eh ngayon pa nga lang, we've been fighting a lot. How much more if we're already miles apart? Ayoko siyang itali sa akin. I know that I can do that but what if he finds someone else. What if a new girl comes into his life? What if that girl can make him happier? And what? We'll just end up hurting each other more.

I shook my head.

Sam: Well, what more can I say? If that's what you want then fine with me.

I need no argument right now. I know that if Jeron can't change her mind, no one else will.

Hanna: However, I didn't tell Jeron the same stuff that I told you.

Sam: WHAT? You gotta be kidding me! What did you tell him? Ugh, you're stressing me!

Hanna: Because I know that he would stop me. He would insist that we give it a try. I have to do what I did.

'After all the words that she said to me parang hindi ko na alam kung kilala ko pa ba ang sarili ko.'

Okay, so that's clear to me now.

Sam: You lied to him?!? Those lies killed him! Ugh! What did you tell him?

I'm too pissed at her right now.

Hanna: It doesn't matter. What matters is you know that what I told him are lies.

Sam: How can you be that dumb? How can you hurt my best friend like that? Ugh, you're stupid!

Believe me, I felt better after saying that to her. Other girls would kill just to have someone like Jeron!

Hanna: I do understand where your hate is coming from. I do understand that you hate me for leaving Jeron.

Sam: No! Who am I to hate, Hanna? Only Jeron has the right to hate you for hurting him and for lying to him!

I paused for a while. I need some air. This is too much for me.

Sam: I hate you for committing the same mistake that I did five months ago. Everything in my life was unstable. Tho was one of the few things that I could count on but I let him go. And you're doing the same thing, Hanna.

Hanna: Everything's a blur right now but I know that someday you will thank me for doing this. Ngayon pa lang, Sam, you're welcome.

I felt really bad after hearing that. How can life be this complicated?

Sam: Is there anything else that I can say that can change your mind?

She shook her head.

Hanna: Just do me one thing, Sam.

I shrugged.

Sam: Okay.

Hanna: Please never leave Jeron's side.

Tears are starting to fall down from her eyes. I can feel her pain.

Hanna: Please be there for Jeron if ever he needs someone to lean on. Please help him find the right girl that he deserves. Someone who'll love him better than I did.

Sam: Hanna...

Hanna: And one more thing, just don't let him know that we had this talk. Hayaan mo na lang na magalit siya sa akin. I deserve that.

I stood up and hugged her. She hugged me back and then she burst in tears.

Sam: Sorry that I called you dumb. He'll be fine. Don't worry about him. I hope that you also find someone who can mend your heart.

Hanna: I know that he's just there around the corner, waiting for the right time.

Sam: Indeed. Hanna, I'll just get us something to eat The usual?

Hanna: You know me too well. Yes of course.

And you know very well my order. No need to mention it, right? I approached the cashier and placed my order. As I wait for my order, someone called my name.

"Sam!"

I looked back to check on who called me and what a nice surprise! It's Jeron and Tho. What are they doing here?

They approached me. They look wasted yet Tho still managed to look hot. Sorry Jeron. You're also hot but I have my bias here.

Sam: Hey, what are you doing here?

Thomas: Bawal na kaming mag-kape? Bro, anong sayo?

Jeron: Caramel Macchiato

I was about to give Tho a high five but he walked past me straight to the cashier. Srsly, do guys have their own version of PMS?

Sam: What's with Tho?

Jeron gave me a high five then placed his right arm on my shoulder. Yes Jeron, no need to rub on my face that I'm much shorter than you.

Jeron: Ikaw kasi. We looked for you everywhere. As in everywhere. Pinag-alala mo. Yan.

Sam: Ahm, modern era! You can call me?

Jeron: Ahm, of course we thought of that but you can't be reached. He called you and I think he also texted you. Ikaw ah. Who are you with?

Okay, who am I with? I'm with your ex-girlfriend.

Sam: Ahm...

Jeron: Is it okay if Tom and I share with your table? Would your date mind?

He smirked.

Sam: First of all, I'm not on a date. Second, I'm not dating anyone.

Jeron: Not dating anyone? Mind if I ask who Kiefer Ravena is?

Facepalm. Yes, I forgot! And I think I also forgot another thing that has something to do with Kiefer.

Sam: I'm not done yet! Except for Kief of course. Ikaw talaga.

Jeron: Sam, be honest to Kief. Be honest to yourself. Truth hurts but honesty can be a kinder alternative.

The barista called my name even before Tho finished paying for their order.

Sam: Jeron, we're just right over there.

I pointed to him our direction.

Jeron: Give me that tray. I'll just bring it there. You're friend's waiting for you.

If you only know who that friend is, Jeron. If you only know.

I went back to our table.

Hanna: I thought you ordered something?

Sam: Yeah, someone will bring them here.

Hanna: Iba ka talaga, Sam.

Then she laughed.

Jeron: Hi! I'm Jeron Teng. Mind if my friend and I share this seat with you?

Okay, that's not sarcastic. Hanna is seated against Jeron's view so he can't really see her. Hanna looked back.

Hanna: Jeron.

A-W-K-W-A-R-D

Jeron: Hanna?

Tho sat beside me leaving the space beside Hanna empty. Sorry, Jeron.

Thomas: Take a seat, Jeron. Mapapagod ka kakatayo dyan.

Thomas. Thomas. Thomas.

Jeron placed the tray on our table before he sat down.

For a while, nothing can be heard from anyone of us. As much as I want to start the conversation, I can't think of anything to be talked about.

Out of nowhere, Tho grabbed my hand.

Thomas: Mants, let's move to the table over there.

What? Move? I can't leave these two here. They might kill each other! I gave him a are-you-kidding-me look that he replied with a just-trust-me look. He looks more convincing so I obliged.

We stood up. He carried my bag on his shoulder and our food and drinks then lead me towards the vacant table far from Jeron and Hanna. Isn't he a perfect gentleman? He took the seat next to me after placing our stuff on the table.

Then silence. Okay, did we seriously move just to have that awkward silence again? He's being snob again.

Sam: Hey, what's wrong with you?

He just continued eating.

Sam: Thomas! Thomas! Thomas!

He continued to ignore me. Ugh, this is frustrating! What have I done wrong?

I reached for my bag and looked for my phone.

Sam: Ugh, bakit wala akong signal?

I shook my phone. As if Sam. As if magkaka-signal pag inalog mo yang phone mo.

Thomas: What are you doing?

He looked at me with his are-you-crazy face. I raised my eyebrow.

Sam: So you know me now?

Thomas: Let me have that phone.

I handed him my phone. He immediately turned it off then on.

Thomas: There you go.

Five new messages appeared on my screen. Four of them were from some friends and one came from Tho.

Sam: You texted me pala?

I looked at him so that maybe the reason why he's being snob again.

Sam: Why can't I reach your phone? Where you at? Mind replying/calling back? I miss you. Take care of yourself, clumsy!

Thomas: Do you really have to read that out loud?

I smiled upon reading his text. Isn't he the sweetest?

Sam: You missed me?

Thomas: I always do.

WHY, THOMAS? WHY?!?

Sam: Weh?

He grabbed my hands and locked them in his hands. He faced me and looked straight into my eyes.

Thomas: I can't lie, I missed you.

Sam: Hindi ka ba nagsasawa sa akin? Almost everyday na nga tayong magkasama eh.

Thomas: Eh kung pwede nga lang 24 hours a day, 7 days a week na kitang kasama eh.

I pinched his cheeks.

Sam: You're so clingy, Tho.

Thomas: I'd rather be someone who's clingy rather than someone who's taking you for granted. Because a girl like you shouldn't be taken for granted.

I pinched his nose.

Sam: And a guy like you deserves nothing but the best.

Thomas: So, I deserve someone like you?

I glared at him.

Sam: Tho naman eh!

Thomas: What?

I smiled at him. He's really making me regret that stupid decision. He's one of a kind.

Sam: Maiba tayo. Do you think Jeron and Hanna can still patch things up?

Thomas: Maybe yes. Maybe no. Only Jeron and Hanna can tell. Why are you with Hanna anyway?

Sam: I saw her on my way to class. Sakto naman na my prof's not around.

He held my hand and start tracing lines on my palm.

Thomas: I thought you're with the blue heart emoji guy again.

Sam: How can I be with someone who's in the hospital?

Thomas: Good point made.

Then his phone which is on the table rang.

Sandy calling...

He looked at me so I nodded. Okay, who is this Sandy and why is she calling Tho? I don't know her but I don't like her.

Thomas: Hello, Sands!

Her name reminds of the beach. Beach. Read between the lines.

Thomas: I'm at Starbucks Torre. Where are you? Are you within the area?

Is she asking where Tho is? Ugh, desperate. And why did Tho ask where she is?

I continued eating my flatbread and continued pretending like I'm not listening.

Thomas: Is it okay if you come here instead? I'm with a friend kasi eh.

She's coming here? Should I go to the ladies' room and get a retouch? Do I look decent?

Thomas: Sige sige. Thank you, Sands. Bye.

Sands. Beach.

Thomas: That was Sandy. Remember her?

Sandy. Sandy. Sandy. Think, Sam. Think! Okay, I give up.

Sam: Nope. Have I met her?

Thomas: Yeah. Remember my blockmate who asked me to be her escort for her debut?

Oh yeah. No wonder her name reminded me of the beach.

Sam: Yeah, I remember! So, what is she into right now?

This girl is really into Thomas. As in, she's like Tho's stalker. I remembered last year, she gave Tho a G-shock watch for his birthday. Well, I organized a surprise birthday dinner for Tho that year and I beat her. I know I did.

He reached for his bag and pulled a book out of it.

Thomas: She's borrowing me this book.

Tss. Why borrow if she can buy? She can afford to buy a guy an expensive watch but she can't afford to buy herself a book? Shame.

Sam: Ah, that's good.

Few minutes later, she arrived. Tho stood up to welcome her. I had to stop myself from pulling Tho back to his chair.

Sandy: Hi Thomas!

She's playing with her hair while saying that. Ugh, is that even necessary? Can Tho just hand the book to her then leave?

Thomas: Hi. Long time no see! How are you?

Sandy: It's your fault kasi eh. You're to busy to hang-out. Let's go clubbing next week. My treat!

Define sugar mommy in two words. THIS GIRL. Tho looked at me so I just smiled.

Thomas: Hey, by the way, remember my friend Sam?

I waved at her but she rolled her eyes on me. CAN SOMEONE HAND ME A PAIR OF SCISSORS? I'LL CUT THIS GIRL'S HAIR!

Sandy: Yeah, I remember her. Hi Sam. So paano, clubbing next week?

She then gripped Tho's arm. Did I say that I'll cut her hair? Can I just behead her? I looked at Tho and it seems like he doesn't mind. And by the look of him, he's enjoying it. Ugh.

Thomas: I can't eh. Sorry. My next week sched's kinda full already.

IN YOUR FACE, SUGAR MOMMY! Disappointment is evident in her face. *insert evil laugh here*

Thomas: Let's just go out some other time.

Now her hope's back. She looked at me and smirked.

Sandy: Sure thing. Just give me a call, okay?

Tho nodded. Remind me to borrow his phone and delete that girl's number.

Sandy: Paano? I'll go ahead. Thank you again, Thomas!

Thomas: Don't mention it.

Then she hugged her! Ugh, where is my bow and arrow? Just one shot!

Tho immediately pulled himself away then she waved and left. Tho sat back beside me.

Thomas: It's nice to see old friends, right?

Nice? You gotta be kidding me.

Sam: So you enjoyed seeing that girl again?

He raised his eyebrow and gave me a suspicious look.

Thomas: Hey, are you jealous?

Me? Jealous? NO.

Sam: No.

Thomas: Are you jealous?

Now he's grinning like a mad man.

Sam: No.

Thomas: Are you jealous?

Ugh, annoying.

Sam: No.

Thomas: Will you join me for dinner tonight?

Sam: Go have dinner with that girl. Di ba sabi mo it's nice seeing her naman? Go ahead. Spend more time with her.

He smiled, put his arm around my waist, pulled me closer and kissed my right temple.

Thomas: Beautiful girls all over the world I could be chasing but my time would be wasted cause they got nothing on you, baby. Nothing on you, baby.

Okay, he's singing and I can feel the butterflies in my tummy.

Thomas: They might say hi and I might say hey but you shouldn't worry about what they say cause they got nothing on you, baby. Nothing on you, baby.

I looked at him and brushed his face with my right hand.

Thomas: Rap part na, Mants. Itutuloy ko pa ba?

Sam: You're impossible.

Now I can't stop myself from smiling.

Thomas: Let's have a picture on my phone?

He reached for his phone and opened the camera app.

Thomas: One. Two. Three. Smile!

Click!

Thomas: Wacky!

Click!

Sam: That better be good, Tho.

Thomas: Hush. I'm on this!

While he's busy typing on his phone, I looked at him. He's beautiful and whenever I imaginethe perfect guy, I think of him. Hanggang titig ka na lang ngayon, Sam.

Few more seconds and my phone rang.

@iamthomastorres: I'll ignore every one of them because they got nothing on you. @samtorregoza #thomoment (IG link)

Sam: Really?

Thomas: Honest 'to, promise!

He even made that 'honest 'to, promise!" gesture.

Jeron's right. He's a keeper.

*Tri-tone*

I reached for my phone and check on who texted me.

From: Kief *blue heart emoji*

Where are you?

Okay, why is asking me where I am. I think he already saw Tho's tweet. No need to hide anything from him.

To: Kief *blue heart emoji*

Starbucks Torre. Why? :)

I sent my text. Tho is busy watching Jeron and Hanna but his arm is still on my waist.

Sam: I wonder what those guys are talking about.

Thomas: Well, maybe Jeron's fixing things up. I'm sure neither of them wants a loose end.

Sam: I just hope that they too can become friends.

Thomas: Only time can tell.

Tho and I dropped the topic and talked about some other stuff. Some students are looking at us. Some of them are smiling, some are rolling their eyes on us but who cares?

Tho and I are having fun when someone suddenly occupied the seat across mine. We looked at him and NO!

My heart started beating fast. Tho's arm tightened as I try to remove it from my waist.

Sam: Kief, what are you doing here?
