I stare into the ring of darkness, my blonde hair cascading over my shoulders. The sound of snapping twigs cause me to whip my head over my shoulder. Nothing.

I look back ahead and keep walking, there seems to be nothing left. The further I walk, the more insecure I feel. Though I continue walking forwards, for if I didn't, I might never find them. Or really know what happened.

I come to the end of a forest, and my eyes take in the shortly cut grass, and the few trees scattered over the area. A figure in the distance roams towards me, and I can't help but quicken my pace.

Who is it?

I am soon running towards the figure until I am only fifteen metres away. I shriek in surprise, as I can finally make out who it is.

"Marxel!"
