Chapter 4

Alec POV
I walked out of takis and took a taxi. I think Clary would be in a park so I told him to go to the nearest park. I paid him and started searching for her. " Clary!Clary!Clary!!!" i yelled. Clary where are you?? As i was about to go, i saw a flash of red. I hurried towards it.

Clary POV
I dont know how long, but i just sat in the bench crying. I dont feel the cold, no anger , nothing. I just feel numb. I heard someone call my name but I ignored them. I am feeling things. No one would want me. I am pathetic. I said those words like a mantra. But soon I heard footsteps coming closer to me. Now im terrified. Its starting to get dark. The footsteps seem to be at halt. I looked up and saw Alec standing there panting. I cried even harder than before. He came over and wrapped his strong arms around me. I clinged onto him as he was my lifeline and now , he was. He held me as I sobbed into his chest. He rubbed my back and kept repeating ' it's okay'. I shook me head every time. Finally, i couldnt take it anymore. I lifted my head to look up at him. He was already looking down at me. I said, " No its not Alec. Its not okay. What she said back there was true. Im pathetic. Im not beautiful. I dont even have a boyfriend. I dont have any friends. Im pathetic."

Alec POV

I felt soo sad for Clary. But whatever shes said to me now, is wrong. " Clary, stop. Its not true. You are not pathetic. You have friends. You have izzy and Simon." I figured she will not like me as her friend. " No Alec. Iz and Si will marry now and they will move in together. I'll have no one." she croaked. " Clare, even if they move in together, they will love you. And I'll be always there for you. You are the most beautiful girl I ve ever seen." i said and slowly wiped away the tears from her face. " You are really beautiful. Any guy would be lucky to have you."
" What about you ?" she asked. " what do u mean by what about me?" i asked , confused. " You said any guy would be lucky to have me. What about u?" " When i said any guy it meant me too." i said. I whispered in her ear in a seductive voice. " Would u go to a date with me Clary Fray?" she shivered when my lips brushed her ear. I pulled away with a grin.

Clary POV

Am i dreaming or is it real?? But as i saw the look on Alec 's face i knew this was happening. Two can play a game . I pulled him to me and whispered " Sure thing, hot stuff." I kissed his cheek and ran. Alec too got up with a smug grin. He caught me and said " Good to know". I gasped and slapped his arm. I know this will turn out good. I cant wait for tomorrow.
