The light filtered in through the blinds, waking you up much earlier than usual. Sitting up quick, your breath was hitched from the nightmare you'd been having. You spun your head side to side taking in your surroundings. Safe. "It was just a dream" You reassure yourself as you gain control of your breathing and heart rate once more. Trying to force those horrific images back into the box you created to keep them at bay. Hoping the nightmares would stop after you moved had been a dream it seemed.
Stepping out of bed onto the cold hardwood floor you almost gave up and got back in bed. You Definitely did not like the cold, or getting out of bed. Then you heard Georgia singing to herself. You chuckled and forced yourself to fully get out of bed and slip on some shorts and a violet vest. Wiping the sleep from your eyes and taming your frizzy hair you walked to the door of your room. checking your reflection in the mirror just before you left. You looked passable, your morning hair just wouldn't tame.
Opening the door you found yourself greeted with Georgia dancing around her room. Waltzing here and there with twirls and whirls. Her room exactly opposite yours giving you perfect view. "Ever the early bird" You muse Scrunching your nose up in mock disgust. She looked up shocked with a huge grin. "Morning Lexi" She said smiling "Wipe that look off your face before it sticks!" She said, then poked her tongue out at you. "I'd be more worried about yours" You say smirking. Her face dropped for a split second and you started walking downstairs, "Coming?" You ask coyly glancing back she chased you and jumped on your back for a piggy back. You laughed and carried her down easily, smiling brightly. "This is home" you muse to yourself.
The kitchen tile was cold on your feet, a nice contrast to the warm air that surrounded you. Looking through the white cupboards for the kitchen cutlery and food your stomach decided to grumble loudly. "This place is warmer than you agreed" She said. "Want to go home so soon? I thought the great Jelly bean never quits?" You ask toying with her competitive side. "What? No! I never give in, I'm just saying!" She announces "Of course" You comment and found the welcome basket you'd been left in the fridge. "This is all we've got" You say smiling.
Georgia got set on making a basic breakfast from the supplies left in the fridge as a welcome gift from the estate agents. It wasn't much, but it was edible. "I'm thinking we should go shopping?" Georgia says cockily "Oh really?" You asked smiling "I'll see if we can fit that in okay?" You say non committal. She smiled as you begun to toy with your phone, glancing at his number, over and over again. "You're distracted" "No i'm not, I'm revising the list" You lied "Liar" She said and took your plate. "who is he?" She questioned while washing up "No-one" You reply as you put your phone down. "Oh sure, I've known you forever. I know when there's a boy involved" She laughed. "Leave it, okay. I'm Gonna go get ready" You say defeated.
"Why don't you call No-one on the way" She called up the stairs. "No-One doesn't want to hear from me" You call back your voice considerably quieter, upset. "No-One hasn't cared about me for a very long time" You say and close your door. You lean against the door staring at your phone, "Call North?" Across the screen. Taking a deep breath you hovered over NO. Then looked again "Damn it Georgia!" You grumbled and clicked YES. The phone rung.
