Conner's sobs slowly became silent tears. Both men had disappeared without a trace of their existence. He heard the door open and he took his head out of his hands to look up. "Chris...?" He called out softly.
"Hey there companion, how are you feeling?" Chris smiled and walked over too him. He sat criss cross next to Conner. James followed with a smile.
"Terrible. They keep coming back!" He leaned on Chris.
"I know hon, I know they do. Have you been taking your medication?" He stroked his hair and mouthed for James to get his handkerchief. He did as he was told and handed it to Chris who gave it to Conner. He nodded and wiped his eyes and nose.
"I'm sorry I'm a mess guys."
"You're fine hon." Chris assured him.
"It's just that I haven't been able to sleep, the Hell Dreams are back, and I'm scared Chris. Terrified actually..."
"I know you are. I am too. But everything will be okay!" The small blonde tried to bring the mood up. He raised an eyebrow, "How? Because I highly doubt it." The redhead was no longer the hopeful man he used to be.
"We have a little surprise for you!" He talked with his hands to make it more exciting.
"What is it?" Conner was skeptical but, he Chris and James were two of the few people he trusted so he tried to believe him.
"It wouldn't be a surprise if we told you, silly!" Chris laughed. A small smile was brought to Conner's, otherwise face.
"You're right. I've been rude, you've been worried about me but I haven't thought to ask how have you been!" The couple laughed and they all began talking like everything was a-okay. Like they weren't visiting their friend in a mental hospital or his fiancé wasn't in the hospital.
