A/N: I'm so sorry I didn't update in the last couple of days. Work had me running around like a chicken with no head, and also my boyfriend starts school tomorrow, so I wanted to spend time with him. Also I have school tomorrow too, so I was making sure I have everything ready. I hope you're enjoying this story, and I promise once it's completed, I will rewrite it so it will have even more details and plot details as well so you can thoroughly understand what's going on. With that said. Here's Chapter Five.
A/N: Also, this story won't be entirely too long. If anything I'll try to stretch it to ten chapters, but I highly doubt that since it's getting to the end of the book. Who knows?

Tempest's complextion is nearly drained at the realization that she's next on Panas' hit list. Her body continues to shake as we progress throughout the halls of this foresaken manor. Poor thing. She's so beautiful and young, only to be the next target of that gorgeous demon.
"I promise you, Tempest, Panas will not lay a finger on you. I'll slice his hand off before I let him touch you," I assure her. I see her give me a small smile, but it's not convicing enough to look genuine.
We walk a litle further, and take a right turn down yet another hallway. As soon as I step foot into that hallway, the ground starts to shake.
"Oh great, now what?" I complain.
Everyone else looks terrified. "What's happening?" Helena cries.
I shrug as I look around the small area, and in the distance, barely noticeable, I see a figure with one eye.
"The cyclops," I whisper to myself.
"What?" Niobe asks.
"Everybody turn around and run, now!" I command. They don't hesitate. They begin to run like their lives depend on it, which they kind of do.
I hear the cyclops roar and its footsteps are loud and shake the ground.
"We need to make it to a safe area where I can shield us," I say.
Blaize shouts, "Why are we running, Rose?" He can't be any more stubborn than this, huh?
"Cyclops," I answer. I look back to where the monster is, and I see he's gaining on us, "And he's coming up fast! Hurry!"
We make it to yet another small room, and as we enter I shut the door, and wave my hands to create yet another barrier, causing the cyclops to one again hit it and bounce back. I can hear it all happen on the other side of the door.
I stumble a few steps back after the magic wall is up, feeling weak all of a sudden. I feel like I'm about to fall, and as I do lean to one side, Blaize is there to hold me up.
"Rose? What's wrong? Rose!" he speaks with concern in his voice.
I can barely talk from being weak. "I used too much magic in such a little time," I explain. "Magic takes a lot of energy out of someone."
"That's why you leaned on Niobe back in the ballroom?" Tempest asks.
I nod. "That's why Panas got to me so easily without me doing anything. I was too weak to move drastically."
Blaize slides one of his arms under my legs and the other is on my back. He carries me bridal style to a nearby couch. "You need to rest. I'm sure the barrier you put up will keep us safe for now."
I look at the others. "You guys sure? I can still save us." I try to get up, but my arms nearly collapse underneath me, causing me to fall on my back.
