Briar's POV
"And that's how Shelby and I met." Allie finishes while smiling. The cast of The Next Step is currently in a circle sharing how they met one another. Myles has his arm slung around my shoulder casually. Shelby and Allie's friendship really is goals. "Ok Briar how did you meet Myles?" Alex asks. I look up at Myles and we both break into laughter, remembering that day. "It's a funny story that portrays me as super weird so I don't really want to share it." They all frown and groan. "Aww Bri please." I hesitantly agree. "Ok fine but beware. Here we go."
Flash back...
Briar's POV
I unlock the front door to my house. It's not a massive one yet not a tiny one. Just right for a family of four and a dog. I throw my bag on the floor and take off my joggers. I had the worst day at school so I just want to unwind and have some Briar time. My parents are out and Abbey is in her room. Perfect. I can do what I want. I run to the pantry in my socks and grab a jumbo pack of Doritos. Hey I didn't have lunch and I'm starving. Our air conditioner is broken and it's super hot. The one of the hottest days it has ever been in Canada. I take off my black shirt, leaving my sports bra on. Probably not the best choice of colour on a day like this. I throw it on the ground and make a mental note to pick it up later. I tie my hair back into a messy pony and open the Doritos. I sit down on the couch and flick through channels. Hmm Doritos don't taste as good when you're just on the couch. I stand up and turn the TV off. I almost slip on my socks that I haven't taken off yet. Hey that gives me an idea. Let's play sock and slide in my house. I go with this idea. My parents aren't home so I can do what I want. I grab the Doritos and run around the house belting out any song that comes to mind. This just happens to be the Lion King. What? I'm a Disney gal. I run into the hallway with my back turned to the living room. I run around and slide with my Doritos in my hand. "NANTS INGONYAMA BAGITHI BABA THE CIRCLE OF LIFE!!" I holler at the top of my lungs. I jump forward and do a front aerial which I manage to land even in my slippery socks even though some Doritos fall out. I continue to dance around weirdly until I hear a cough from behind me. I spin around but my socks cause me to fall over and spill even more Doritos. "NUGGETS YOU MADE ME SPILL MY DORITOS ABB-" I stop in my tracks when I see my sister and two strangers staring at me. My eyes widen dramatically. "Umm Briar this is Jennifer and Myles. They're my project partners." She says awkwardly. I sigh and turn to my sister. "Why don't you ever tell me when we have people over?" The other what's-their-faces snicker and Abbey rolls her eyes. "Please you would still do this even if I did tell you." I shrug. She has a point. "Come one let's go work on our project." The girl follows Abbey to her room. Myles stays behind. I grab a broom and start sweeping up the crushed Doritos. Sadly this ain't the first time I have spilled Doritos attempting a dance move. "Hey Briar." He smiles charmingly at me. "Damn that smile could melt a glacier." He begins to laugh much to my confusion. "What?" I question. "Thanks about that." He replies. My eyes widen even more. "Omg I said that out loud! WOW! I didn't think I could embarrass myself even more but no I managed just fine." I yell in annoyance and put my head in my hands. "No it's ok I think your pretty cool." I lift my head up and look at him right in the eyes. Those green, amazing, deep eyes. "Really?" "Totally." He walks out but stops to give me a wink and another heartwarming smile. I feel myself heat up and blush like crazy. Man this guy I hottt!
Flashback over....
By the end of my story, the whole cast is howling with laughter. I even see some crew members giggling. I blush and hide my face in Myles' neck. "Woah Bri that's interesting but it's still sooo cute." Logan gushes. "Yep it's adorable." Vic says. Myles than joins into the laughter. "Yeah you're the only one I know how can land a front aerial in socks with Doritos in her hand." He smiles while I blush more. "They spilled though." I say quietly. "Oh come here Bri." They all yell while pulling me in a group hug. We jump around happily. "Oh after that story I guess I should give you these." Akiel says and runs to his bag. He pulls out a shiny red thing that I can't see. He hides it behind my bag for a few seconds. "Ta-da." He yells and reveals his object....Doritos. I look offended for a second and than run at him and snatch the Doritos out of his hand. I open the pack and take my shoes off. "Second attempt!" I yell and run forward into a front aerial. After my aerial I look down and see not a single crumb on the floor. "I DID IT! I DIDN'T SPILL THE DORITOS!!" I hold my arms up in glory while the cast lose it and begin to cheer like maniacs. We share the undropped Doritos and dance around. This definitely has to be the funniest day on set ever!
