Have you ever felt... so alone... that you feel that nothing can ever make you happy again?

Have you ever felt... so forgotten... that if someone was just to remember or speak your name, that you'd break out and cry in happiness.

As I suddenly appeared in a new world, these two feelings filled my mind, shutting out everything else. I had looked around at the expanse, forever wondering what it was I needed to do here. How was I ever going to make Yuu-Chan remember me?

I tried to focus on where I was. The sky was black, and the floor was a black marble. The two stretched out as far as the eye could see until they met and fused together. There was nothing else.

I was on my hands and knees, so I tried to stand, but my arms disobeyed and my legs didn't work. I looked down at them only to see them in shackles. My head turned behind me to see where they lead too, but all that was behind me was an inky blackness. The chains disappeared into it.

"What do I do?!" I cried out, the emptiness and inability to move more than frightening me. How was I supposed to do this?! How?!

I suddenly felt a dark presence circling me, and Death appeared to my left. Can you really not see? Look ahead of you! he said.

I took his advice, and upon looking ahead I could see a tiny pinprick, seemingly miles away. I couldn't tell what it was, but then, I could.

It had to be.

"Yuu-Chan!" I cried, and Death nodded slowly.

Yes, that is your precious Yuichiro he said. I'll explain properly what you have to do now. We are on what is the Grand Cliffs. They stretch for all eternity in every direction except one. Ahead of you, the cliffs crumble and break away, falling into the black hole that leads to Hell.

Upon mentioning it, the cliffs shook in an earthquake, and a horrible retching sound filled my ears. I didn't need to be told that that was the cliff was crumbling away.

Suddenly I realised.

Suddenly terror cut through the feelings of loneliness and forgottenness, and I turned back to Yuu.

"He'll fall" I whispered.

"He'll fall into Hell and die"

If you can't get him to remember you he will Death chuckled. And you too will disappear into the fire

"What must I do?!" I cried, pleading for Death to tell me.

You must crawl to him. You must prove your love and crawl to him. If you touch him before he falls in, you will be placed back into the world.

I tried to crawl. I pulled myself with all my might, willing myself to move towards him.

I moved bearly an inch. The shackles cut against my skin, leaving me breathing in tightly in pain. I looked at my wrists to see them scraped a little.

This couldn't be happening.

I could never make it in time.

And another thing. You can say the word "mirror" to watch Yuu, and also to speak to him. He'll hear it in the back of his mind. You can also try and communicate in other ways to try and speed up him remembering. However the only way to get him to properly remember you is to get to him. Then Death disappeared.

I looked ahead again, the tiny prick on the cliff ahead so far away.

I had to do it.

I still have to do it.

So now I crawl. Crawl for all eternity as I edge inch by inch closer to him. If I call the mirror and speak to him and he hears, I can move forward about half a metre. The chains slacken, and I rush forward. If I am able to write something to him, I can do the same. I have been doing this now for what feels like an eternity.

He's now about a centimetre tall.

Nothing will make me give up. Not the blood from my wounds, or my shortness of breath, or the aching in my muscles. I promised I'd always be there for my Yuu-Chan.

And I intend to keep that promise.
