After the queen said that, I sat there in silence. I noticed that everyone in the room was waiting for my reaction, to see what I would do. I couldn't believe that they had found information on my family. But how was the question. Did they know something I didn't? Did they personally know my mothers parents, who had passed not even 2 months earlier? I had found that out from a friend of my mothers. She and I stayed in touch for awhile and looked out for me, making sure I had what I needed, even though I was working 3 jobs.
I snapped out of my thoughts hearing Harry's voice trying to get my attention.
"Are you ok? Do you need some water or anything," he asked me.
"No, thank you. I'm just in shock since I wasn't able to get any information about my family. I know that my mothers parents passed away 2 months ago, but found out through a friend of hers. I asked all of my parents friends, and none of them seemed to know," I said.
The queen watched me quietly before speaking. "I know it's a lot to take in, and it wasn't easy to find the information for us either. I knew your grandparents personally and they wanted me to find you because of your heritage. Unfortunately, they will never get to see that we were able to find you."
"You knew my moms parents? What were they like?" I asked her.
"Yes I knew them. Despite being a descendant of your grandfathers ancestor, they were loving people. Always looking out for others, then themselves. They wanted to get away from what your grandfathers ancestor was like. They lived here for a short time when their home caught fire and needed significant repairs," she told me.
As the queen spoke, I think I figured it out, but wasn't sure. I mean, there was no way I was a descendant of who I was thinking about until the queen spoke up and confirmed what I was thinking.
"You are a descendant of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn."
