Kian was the first to run into the garage and get his penny board. He was followed by Ricky, then Connor, then Sam, them Trevor, then me. When we got out of the garage with penny boards, I asked Trevor if he had an extra one because I didn't have mine with me. "No, sorry. But you can hop on with one of us if you'd like," he said. Connor raised his hand like a little kid and said I could jump on with him. I hopped on the back of his board, feeling like I was going to fall off. As if reading my mind he said "You can hold on to my waist so you don't fall." I wrapped my arms around him for the second time in less than 2 hours and held on tight. We flew down the street on his board as I slowly bacame more relaxed. I rested my head on his back and slid my arms up to his chest. Ricky looked back at us and did a long and playful "Awwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!" Connor looked back at me and giggled.

We turned a corner and my head was jerked to the side. We had gone into a little park along the side of the road. So we stopped at a pavillian where there was a fire pit and we sat down on a few logs. As Connor sat down next to me, I didn't smile for the first time. All this attention from Connor was making me think of all the people in my life that had ignored me and made fun of me. As if Connor could tell exactly what was going on he leaned over to Sam and whispered something in his ear. I couldn't make out exactly what he said, but I know it was something about trying to make me feel better. Sam stood up, took out a few pieces of paper and some pens and explained to us what we were going to do. So we did this thing where we wrote mean things we had said about ourselves or that had been said about us on the paper. I wrote small. I had to write on the back. I looked on Connor's just for a second and I was wondering why he had written anything. So anyways when everyone was done Sam grabbed a lighter and his piece of paper and threw it into the fire to light it. He told us to fold up the paper and throw it into the fire. It was kinda depressing. When everyone threw their paper in the fire, Connor got up and Kian, who was sitting on the other side of Connor, slid next to me. I told them that it was kinda depressing and Connor said "Don't believe anything you wrote on that paper is true. You're beautiful and perfect the way you are." I was quiet on the outside but I was sobbing/balling on the inside. "That was sweet," I told him. Kian poked me in the arm and I elbowed him casually. Kian agreed and said it was true. Then he gave me a little friendship kiss on the cheek. I kissed him back. He said "Connor, you wish you could get a kiss from Reagan(that's my name)," He said "Oh yeah, I totally do." I was pretty sure he was kidding but it made me feel good to hear him say this. After a few seconds, he reached over and kissed me on the cheek. Was he expecting me to? Was he not kidding? Thinking he wasn't, I leaned over and kissed him back on the cheek. Kian was the only one watching when Connor kissed me, but by the time I kissed him, they were all watching. "Awwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!" Ricky said again. I laughed. It was always Ricky who did that. I felt alot better after that little 'exercize'. I knew that all these things people said about me and that I said about myself were in the past. I needed to focus on what was happening right now. Like that kiss. What was that about? I knew Connor had said he wanted a kiss from me, but I thought he was being sarcastic. I didn't know he was for real. I also knew he had said I was beautiful and perfect the way I was, but Connor just seems like the kind of person who would say something like that to just about anyone. I guess he really meant it when he said it to me.

After that whole little moment, Sam and Connor rode up to a nearby Whole Foods. Trevor, Ricky, Kian and I were left there by the fire to talk. It was getting dark outside, and cold, even with the fire right there. Ricky came and sat next to me on the other side of the bench as Kian. I thought Trevor was lonely over on the bench across from us from the fire, so I motioned him to come sit, even though there was no more room on the log. Kian told him to come sit on his lap. Ricky asked me what the kiss was all about. I told him Connor had leaned over to kiss me first, but I had no idea why. Judging by the look on Trevor's face, I was sure he hadn't seen. I filled him in on what had happened while also filling Ricky in on what had happened before he had looked over. Kian wondered if he had triggered it from what he had said. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to," he said, "If you want to slap me, go ahead." "Why would I want to slap you, Kian? If you triggered it, I would want to hug you! Thank you!" I said as I threw my arms around his neck. When the guys came back they had graham crackers Hershy bars, and marshmallows. "Smores!" we all yelled. "Its getting dark, We've got a fire and some sticks, why not smores?" Connor asked. Trevor raised his hand, "Ooh, ooh, ooh, um, because there's a Taco Bell right-" "TACO BELL!?" we all said in unison. He said it was right up the street. Sam got back on his board, along with Kian this time. "You did know that was a rhetorical question, though, right Trevor?" I asked him. "Yeah, I know, I just wanted Taco Bell," he answered. We all laughed. I literally felt like I had known these guys forever. And what was funny was that they were acting like they had known me forever, too.
