The next morning when I woke up, everyone was gone. I looked around in the house. I looked up in Trevor's room, down in the basement, I even asked his mom if she know where he was. She said she had no clue, but that I seemed like a smart girl and I could figure it out. I couldn't. I texted Connor asking where they had gone. "Love you, babe," was all I got back. Not that I could complain about that, but I was a little upset with him for not telling me where they were. I called the rest of the guys to see if they could be a little bit nicer. No answer. Guess not. I looked at my phone again, when I noticed what time it was. 2 o'clock in the afternoon! Had I really slept that long? Now I understand. I was also sure now where they were. One of Kian's favorite places, Sweet Frog. Why wouldn't they be? It's the middle of summer.

I hopped into my car and drove around until I saw Kian sitting outside with the rest of the guys and Rosy, but no Connor and Tori. Kian's eyes get so wide, it looked like they were going to pop out of his face. I saw him put his frozen yogurt down, turn around and yell at someone inside the shop. As my car slowed down and my vision got a little sharper, I saw Connor and Tori walking over to the toppings bar with her arm around his neck and his around her waist. I gasped. "I'm not too experienced with the whole 'I like him and he likes me' kind of thing, but I know this is not how it works," I thought to myself. First thing I saw was his big green eyes get wide at Kian, then he turned toward me with those same eyes. The only difference was that I didn't have the strength to stare back like usual. Tori came running out to my car. "It's not what it looks like, Reagan," she pleaded as I rolled up my window, cutting her off from the rest of her speach. I wanted to believe her, but I couldn't. The look in her eyes before she saw me was too strong to be a 'just friends' thing. I could tell she liked him, and his hand showed that he liked her, too. Although, there wasn't much I could do about this, since we weren't dating. I did the only thing I thought would work.

I parked my car and walked over to sit down next to Kian, acting like nothing that just happened even happened. I saw Connor half walking - half running out to clear things up. I just ignored him. Putting my jacket on the back of the chair and my hand on Kian's leg for a moment, I walked into Sweet Frog like a wasn't fazed. Truth is, I wasn't. Things happen that I have no control over, like this. I sighed as I grabbed my cup and filled it with 60% yogurt and 40% toppings. While I got my wallet out of the back pocket of my shorts, I felt a hand. A familiar hand. I turned around to see Connor standing behind me with his cute little smirk. No, Reagan. not now. He just had that same hand around your best friend's waist. He is not going to put it around yours a minute later. I glared at him. He looked confused back at me. I started to walk out when I felt that same hand grab my shoulder and spin me around to face him. "Look, Connor, if this is about you and Tori-" he cut me off. "I'm sorry. You weren't there and she and Trevor had a little fight so-" "So you think that's a valid reason to have your arm around her? Well, it's not." By now, everyone was staring, so I walked out and sat back down next to Kian with my face still flushed. "Whoa, what happened in there?" he asked me. "It doesn't matter," I answered as I kissed him on the cheek, Connor halfway out the door. I knew he saw me. Too bad. Fight fire with fire, get more fire, I don't care. I knew I wouldn't be able to get through this if I didn't have someone for me to let it out on, make me feel like I'm worth something. Kian was like a brother to me, and a brother wouldn't ditch his sister.
