It's the day that Blake has been dying for. She's finally taking off her cast. She's been antsy about it all morning. She's worried something going to go wrong.
"¿Qué estás pensando, querida?" Isabella asked Blake, from their seats in the waiting room.
Blake let out a deep sigh, "what if something goes wrong? What if the doctor say I have to keep the cast on? My recital is in three weeks, I've already missed so much practice time, I don't want to fail. I feel like my heads going to explode. What if-"
"Querida, calm down." Isabella said softly as she grabbed Blake's hand to keep them from shaking. Blake started taking deep breaths as her eyes began to tear up.
"Todo va a estar bien, you have nothing to worry about." Isabella spoke softly to try and ease Blake's worry, but said girl only shook her head.
"Blake DeLuca?" A nurse with blonde hair and glasses called out while looking around.
Blake and Isabella stood and walked over to the nurse, who began to lead the pair to a room, and asked them to answer a few question.
"The doctor will be in, in a few minutes." Kayce told the girls as she exited the room.
There was a knock at the door, and Blake sat up a little straighter, thinking it was the doctor. Opening the door she saw her father with a bouquet of flowers.
"Papa?" She asked happily, "what're you doing here?" Blake asked as she looked at Isabella who also wore a smile on her face.
"Mi bambino, I told you I wanted to be there for you more, this is me trying to be, if you'll let me?" He asked with a smile of his own.
"Of course." She told her father, as she grabbed ahold of his hand. Blake missed the look of appreciation that Rafael and Isabella shared.
Another set of knocks was heard on the door and the doctor came into the room.
"Nice to see you again, Blake. First I want to ask about any pain you've had with the cast. Then we'll take a quick x-ray, and hopefully remove the cast." Doctor Carter told Blake as he took a seat in front of her and began to examine the cast.
"Have you ankel felt weird? Or any kind of pain since the last time you were here?" He asked.
"Nope. everything been great! The sooner it comes of the better." Blake said excitedly.
"I know you want it to come off, but we have to make sure it healed properly. Follow me to the x-ray room."
-Walking back into the room with the pictures, the doctor told Blake "Everything looks fine, so I believe it's time the cast came off." He said with a smile, as Blake let out a shriek of excitement and smile up at her Dad.
The doctor took out a tool that looked a lot like a saw and Blake began to panic a little. Noticing her reluctance the doctor explained to her that the saw wasn't going to hurt her in the slightest. And that it's the vibrations that broke the cast. And he began to remove the cast.
Blake let out a few giggles as the vibrations tickled her, but she stopped once the cast was off and she felt a dull pain on the heel of her foot.
"Okay" Doctor Carter said as the cast fell off and he put it on the counter, he proper Blake's foot up a little higher and began to probe at it. "Tell me if it hurts, alright?"
He began to tap down her legs and moved her toes, when he touched the heel of her foot Blake bit her lip and let out a small whimper. Carter stopped and looked up at her. "Did that hurt Blake?"
"Hurt, is such a strong word, it just uh tingled a little. Nothing to worry about." She brushed it off hoping to elude any concern.
"Blake, do not lie to him." Rafael told his daughter sternly.
