Prologue

I knew that my life was not going to be a fairytale forever. Well that is what I conjured up in my mind.

Confused? I can explain.

My brother and I are like the most popular people in my school. I always thought it was because of our personality but it was because of my hit-sensation mother who happens to be a world-wide known singer, yea great friends, note the sarcasm.

My dad? He got killed by some smugglers when I was five. I don't give a damn for him anyway, he was asking for it. So my brother, Jason and I have eachother and were not changing that.

"Mom please don't do this to us!" I shouted grabbing my mom's Gucci jacket. I didn't really care about what my mom did and didn't, I was just worried about my friends and my boyfriend.

My brother was holding our two carry-on bags as he hung his head to the floor. Why would my mother even think of giving us to some complete stranger from the other side of the world? Oh wait I know because she's a flicking, vain person who doesn't care about anyone but herself and she has to go on tour for 'one year'. Probably added a few extra months but still her own children?

"I'm sorry honey but I can't miss this tour...it's my big break." She replied. So what if she was a hot shot singer didn't mean she had to abandon her own two children. "Good bye my loves, email me whenever you get a chance." She finished by kissing our foreheads and walked off leaving us gawking in the airport. What a mother.

"Let's go." My twin brother turned towards the gate as our plane landed. I was so not looking forward to the stay in Malibu I much rather the chill of the London air when you wake up in the early morning, and the cool days where you don't have to worry about being burnt to a crisp. As you can tell I'm not looking foreward to the sun and I much rather be pale and pasty.

"You have the tickets?" I questioned him as an attendant was calling for all passengers to board.

He nodded as we ascended at the back of the line. I enhaled a deep breath as the flight attendant checked our boarding pass.

"You both are seated in first class, enjoy your flight." She smiled as we got into the aircraft.

The sun was slowly making it's way behind the hills and the sky erupted into a burst of darkness.

"How much more time?" I groaned to my brother who was falling asleep next to me.

"A couple more hours I guess." He replied, his eyes slowly closing shut. Great now I was all alone and completely naseous.

I was actually scared to meet the owners at where we were staying. I wondered if they would have any children or pets. Hopefully not dogs because I hate dogs.

I jumped practically out of my seat when the flight attendant announced that we would be landing shortly and to buckle up.

I shook Jason gently to wake him up as we were decending to the lit runway. "Buckle up." I whispered in an almost inaudible voice.

The plane landed smoothly for once and the seatbelt sign went off. Everyone unbuckled to reclaim their luggage from the compartments.

"Here you go." My brother told me as he struggled to put my carry-on bag on the floor. It's not that he's lanky because I can gaurantee that he's not, it was just that my bag was a little overpacked.

After grabbing our two other bags from the luggage collection we made our way to find the people we were staying with. Butterflies were swarming sickly in the pit of my stomach and I was surprised I could manage to stay on my two feet.

"Hey Jason, Megan!" Some deep, rough voice called from the sidelines. I snapped my gaze to where the voice was coming from to see a middle-aged couple. I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding as Jason and I walked towards them.

I think I was glad that the couple didn't have children. I didn't know why but I felt almost reasured, "So I'm Gregory Parker," The tall man pointed to himself, "and this beauty is my wife." The pretty woman standing next to him shoke both our hands. What a pity that they didn't have any children, their children would come out gorgeous.

We all went to the Hummer and was seated in the leather interior. These people were obviously rich. I blanked the conversation with Jason and Ms. Parker. I only caught glimpses of what they were saying as I almost soundlessly hummed to myself.

"...do you live..." That was Jason I guessed.

"...in the North of Malibu not far from..."

"...any pets..." It sounded like he was interogating them.

"...one dog and..." Wait a minute, she just said dog! "...also two children..."

"Children, mom didn't mention that." I cut in, now listening fully to the conversation.

"Yes," Mrs. Parker directed to me, "One girl about a year older than you and one boy the same age."

Wow. This trip was getting worse and worse for me.

For the rest of the ride I couldn't stop thinking about my new roomates. What would they think of me? Would they think I am weird?

Jason had to give me a vigourous shake to let me know we were at the house. Here it was the moment of truth.

Mr. Parker handed us our bags from the trunk and we all ascended up the long flight of stairs. The house was practically like a mansion, three story high mansion.

"Damon, Sarah! We're home." Mrs. Parker called as we entered the main doors. I swore I heard more than two footsteps chorusing down the stairs, but I was right because not two but five pairs of eyes were staring at me. Four gorgeously hot boys and one beautiful girl were staring at Jason and I.

"Jason, Megan I'd like both of you to meet my daughter, my son and their three best friends."

Trouble to the double.
