"CHEESE!"
"Here's the cheese."
"SALT!"
"Here's the salt."
"Mushrooms!"
"OH HAILL NO! We aren't at putting mushrooms in there! It's gonna taste like crap!" Ross guards the egg.
"I'll have you know Reaux loves my food!"
"Because she's never eaten pancakes!"
"Whatever. You want to make your own omelet!" Laura laughs
"No!"
"Then give me the mushrooms!" She punches him in the gut laughingly
"Your gonna ruin it." He pouts
"Boo-hoo! Oh my gosh!! It's burning! Did you put the spray on it!?" She yells
"No! I thought you did!" He grabs the spatula.
"The oven won't turn off!!" She yells
"The alarms gonna go on!!" Ross yells waving away the smoke and 5 seconds later it goes on.
"Crap!"
"It's the damn mushrooms!"
"GOT IT!" Laura Slams down the knob turning the stove off
"MOMMMAAA!" Reaux cries
"Damn it! You know how long it took me to get her to sleep?" Laura slams her head on table.
"Maybe she'll go back to sleep if she finds out what's for breakfast" Ross bites the omelet
"She loves it!" Laura takes the omelet away and marches away.

"Hey baby!"Laura sits on Reaux's bed
"Momma! Is there a fire?" She wipes her eyes
"No! I couldn't turn off the stove and smoke came up, I'm sorry" Laura apologizes
"We good. Honey pie!"
"Honey pie?" Ross asks so confused
"It came out weirder than in my head. Anyway! So guess what we're gonna do today baby!"
"hm?" Reaux takes a bit out of her nasty omelet
"We are going to a water park!"
"OHH MY GOSH! YAY!" Reaux squeals "I've never been to one before!"
Laura was happy yet sad that today they were going today. Laura never hand enough money to take Reaux to anywhere fun. She always saved up for food and such.
"Yep! So after this go put on your suite and pack a bag!" Reaux threw down the soggy egg and took off toward her room
"She's so animated. Just like me." Ross smirks proudly at his creation
"Well she eats like you. She acts like you. The only thing that she does similar to me is dance"
"That's not something to brag about..."
"Shut up and go get ready" she giggles

"MOMMAAA!" Reaux screams
"WHAT!?" Laura panics jumping up from her table!
"I got a cut!" Reaux cries
"Oh no! Let me see." Laura inspects the cut to see it's only a little scratch "baby, it's going to be ok. Just a little scratch
"NO! I'm gonna get a lump and die!" Reaux screams
"What?" Laura's so confused
Out of the corner of her eye Laura could see people looking at her. She was wearing a swim suit and it showed all her bruises. Some of them were fading but most of them were still very blue. She could see them whispering and looked up to see that Ross had noticed them as well.
"Excuse me?" She looked up to see a man about her age "are you alright?" He asked
"I'm fine? Can I help you?" She was so confused about what was going on
"Are you alright? Does he beat you?" He whispered
"What? Um no! I tumbled down the stairs but I assure you I'm just a fine."
The man could see right through the excuse. But it wasn't Ross who beat her.
"Do you want me to call the police? He won't hurt you or your daughter anymore." Laura than realized that her excuse made the matter worse. She's just so used to lying about her bruises it just became an instinct
"No sir! I promise! He would never hurt me!"
"Is something wrong?" Ross came up and asked putting his hand in Laura's back
"No, this man just asked how I was. I told him everything was fine." She explains
"Sir, I'm gonna call the police if you don't stop touching her." The guy says pulling out his phone
"What? I'm sorry, I'm so confused." Ross says putting his hands up
"I see the bruises on this girl and her daughter. Don't think you can get away with this."
"No! I would never hit her! You've got the wrong idea, man!" Ross tries to say
"Yea! We see the marks on her! Don't think your entitled to women!" Another person says joining the conversation
"I'm sorry! I promise you! I don't hurt her!"
"He would never touch me! I promise! I just got out of an abusive relationship! These marks are old! I am fine! Stop getting involved in other people's business! Leave us alone!" Laura shouts walking away holding Reaux hand.

"I can't believe that happened! That makes me so mad! I'm sorry you got blamed for my problems! I'm just so used to saying excuses about my marks it just slipped" she apologizes
"It's ok! I've said it a hundred times! As long as I'm alive you and Reaux will never be hurt again! Do you hear me? Never again"
