Chapter 13: The Dates~ Hanji

Shiganshina, 1879

"Hanji's Room"

The maid had entered the room only to find the contestant already awoken and examining the lilies on the table. The brunette didn't even hear the maid entered, her attention finally being broken from the words that escaped the maid's mouth.

"Good morning Hanji...." She mumbled, coming over and setting the coffee, not tea, on the nightstand that had held the lilies. With a smile, the honey colored being grabbed the cup, quickly downing all of the hot and energizing liquid almost instantly

The maid sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose while she waited "In 5...4...3..2..- YAHOO!" Hanji interrupted, getting her burst of energy from the magical bean water. This had happened every morning since the contestant had arrived at the palace, causing big disruptions at the breakfast table when the contestants ate as a whole and coffee was served.

On any other day, Hanji would immediately head to the library but today was special. It was their date with the prince and they soon figured that out as seven different maids had rushed into the room, lining perfectly up against the wall. Without one word being able to escape Hanjis mouth, they all rushed her into the bathroom and forced her into the bath.

After all was said and done, Hanji had pouted as she sat on the ottoman. Her hair was now dripping from the shower and they waited in a robe for the main maid to dress her. A Few minutes of digging through the closet and the old lady had pulled out an outfit wrapped in plastic to keep safe from damaging

Hanji squealed dramatically with excitement as the protective layer was removed, revealing their outfit. It was a long sleeve, loose fitting, navy blue romper. One that would suit their body type well and with the perfect pair of shoes, they could look absolutely stunning.

After cramming the brunettes large feet into the small and dainty flats, Hanji insisted that they did their own hair, styling it into a messy pony tail and having the bangs curve their face perfectly. The maid simply allowed the messy do, figuring it would fit the other fine.

With perfect timing, there soon came a knock and in entered a few men in lab coats, one being Prince Levi. To Hanji, the male seemed quite attractive in the white coat causing them to giggle and run over to him. Levi had rolled his eyes and held out another lab coat, one tailored specifically for them.

Hanji had paused, planning to hug the other but decided to just put the lab coat on and follow the men out of the room and down the hall. As they walked, the brunette and the raven stood side by side discussing something about the periodic elements or something. They had also learned that the prince had enjoyed science and was very smart despite the 'rich and dumb' aura that had spread throughout the castle.

After a few more turns they had reached a large steel door that had a silver lock on it like a safe which took two of the men that had been brought along to open. As the door open, Hanji squealed with excitement at the sight before her.

Shiganshina, 1879

"Royal Laboratory"

As you entered, there were several white and silver counters, each consisting of two metal stools and a sink. On the farthest wall, there were multiple test tubes filled with an assortment of colorful liquids. The room also held an emergency shower but the thing that caught Hanjis attention the most was the closet door with caution tape along it.

"What's that, Levi~!!" They called out as the prince stepped into the room and walked over, the other two men leaving and closing the large steel door behind them.

"It's the chemicals that aren't supposed to be touched unless with a proper scientist or professor in the room...." Levi mumbled, grabbing a few of the test tubes off the wall and sitting at one of the tables.

Hanji causally slid in next to him with the widest smile "What ya doing~?!" They cooed, eyeing all of the things he had grabbed

Levi sighed and rolled his eyes before he began to mix the different liquids, creating new colors "Just... Be patient will you? Go grab some things if you like..." He murmured.

Hanji nodded and got up, heading over to the wall and read the labels before grabbing a few and returning, sitting down next to the other and beginning to mix the different solutions. Things had been going perfectly until Levi had hopped up, eyes wide.

Hanji immediately looked over at the bubbling solution, starting to overflow and spill on the table. The brunette smirked and grabbed the overflowing glass. "What are you doing?!" The prince shouted, watching as Hanji held the tube of the possibly dangerous and overflowing liquid.

Hanji's smirk grew and then after a few moments, they drank it straight down, causing Levi to lurch that way and smack the glass from their hands and shatter on the floor. He looked up at the other with nothing less than fear in his eyes.

Hanji on the other hand, burst into laughter "You are so dumb, Levi! The combination you made was soda! I'm gonna be fine, don't worry!" They exclaimed between their laughing fit.

Levi sighed in relief and nodded "Thank god... Come on, I think that is enough for the day..."
