She knows they don't want her.
They're just tolerating her for the moment because they have bigger problems.
She knows as soon as this invasion is taken care of–if there's anything left by the end of it–they'll be back to trying to dethrone her.
They like to act as if she doesn't belong here, as if she's stolen the throne from Gaelira. As if she wasn't named heiress as a child. As if Gaelira even wants it.
As if they don't know the favored daughter is a Halfling.
She doesn't much care. At the worst, there will be nothing left to rule over anyway. At best, well.
They'll learn to respect her.
