Competition: AVHPC ODE, 28th August 2016.

Height: Level 3/PC90 (equivalent to BE90)

It's 5am, why am I up at this ridiculous hour?? I am up because I need to sort out starlight before we leave, we need to leave by 8am and I'm still in my PJ's looking groggily at the mirror wondering, procrastinating, feeling knackered.

Cup of tea, change of clothing and I'm half ready, take my tablets and I'm just waiting for my mum to get down the stairs so we can go!

The course was on of the biggest xc courses I am yet to tackle, the showjumping is extremely tight, and the dressage, well it wouldn't go to well.

We got to the yard, we sorted Johnny out, we fixed Star some breakfast, and then loaded Johnny up.

He was a little stressed to travel but he was okay, a lot better than hickstead, but the competition is only a 20 minute drive from the yard so we weren't traveling so far.

I got ready when we got to the showground, that was in between messaging various people, telling people near by to be careful because Johnny got easily stressed etc etc.

First - stock, you have to tie it and then pin it and I always manage to stab myself at least  once.
Then - hairnet, it has the capability to make my hair (which is blonde/brown) look bright ginger in the sun, it's so annoying!!
Next - change the hat silk from my XC silk to my navy velvet silk for dressage and showjumping phases.

Now onto Johnny, he's a lot easier, just needs to be tacked up, and in his snaffle for the dressage!

Then onto the dressage arena, this is like 1km away from where the horse box is parked and takes ages to get over there because Johnny is constantly so stressed out and crab walking. (Going sideways, being tense.)

Dressage was disastrous, well maybe not that bad, but the worst score out of the whole pony club, 43.1 pts (barring in mind stars normal score is about 32.)

Then onto the showjumping...

Then onto the showjumping
