I took a deep breath and walked in.
There was seat, like the kind a judge on duty in a courtroom would sit on, with three people occupying it. I knew who they were immediately.
"Are you Annabelinda Grace Beta?" the one in the middle asked.
"Yes, that is me."
"Do you know who we are?" asked the one on the left.
"Yes."
"Who are we?"
"You are Thantos." I said gesturing to the one on the left. "You are Nemesis." I told the one in the middle. "And you are Heracules." I said pointing at the one on the right.
"Very good little demigod. Now, can you tell us why we are here?" said Thantos.
"You are the three Divine Judges."
"And what do we do? Please be specific and don't be a smart ass." asked Heracules.
"By being a smartass do you mean no saying that as the three Divine Judges you judge divinely?" I asked with my eyebrows raised.
Heracules let out a long exasperated sigh. "Yes that's exactly what I mean." he said.
"Well, I'm glad we got that out of the way. No tell me girl what do we REALLY do?" asked Nemesis.
"You are the three Divine Judges. You sit on the stand and judge every mortal being on the goodness in their life. If they are good you send them too The Fields of Asphodel, The Fields of Punishment, Elysium, or give them the option to be reincarnated to go for the Isles of the Blest." I say.
Thantos smiled and nodded. "Very good girl. There is hope for a smart girl like you. But before we give you a verdict we have to look over your life story. We get to watch a movie of it! Aren't you excited?"
Anna paled and nodded.
"You don't look very excited." said Nemesis.
"I don't want to have to relive my life. Most of it was bad enough the first time." said Anna.
"I'm sorry my dear, but you're going to have too. You don't have to watch, but we are going to watch a movie of your life per say, from your point of view, so that we can accurately judge you." said Nemesis.
"Okay." said Anna. She gulped, then took a deep breath to calm her nerves. When the room fell dark and a giant movie screen came from the ceiling Anna all but fainted. If she was going to suffer through her life again she would do it with strength. She knew what was coming, and it wasn't like it was actually happening to her. It was just a movie after all.
