The Attack

Lily wakes up when she hears heavy and slow footsteps coming down the hallway across the tiny room that she and Tara had shared. She, not sitting up, turns her head to the door. There is a quiet pounding until, Lily closing her eyes, the door knocks over and slams on the ground. Somehow, Tara sleeps through this. Lily couldn't see what it was, but she could hear the wolf-like growling. She then slowly turned from her stomach to her back, looking at the odd animal, which was standing on the grounded door. It looked like a wolf, but was huge. Then it hit her-it was a Wolfion. The Wolfion looked up right at Lily and stared, turning her head down. Then it happened, all at once. Tara, who had been awake the whole time, grabbed Lily and pulled her out of the way, the two landing on the floor to the left of the bed. The wolf had pounced on where Lily had been and tore at the pillows, blankets, and sheets. "Come on!" Tara whispered. Tara and Lily then crawled slowly until they reached the door, which was the part of their journey that they decided to get up and run.

The Wolfion followed them, catching up quickly. But Lily grabbed one of her white slippers and threw it at the Wolfion. The Wolfion paused for a half second, brushing its head with its left paw. Tara laughed and high fived her new friend. They ran from the motel and to Lily's shiny convertible, a roofless Modern, hopping in with Tara driving. Lily tried to fix her hair as they sped to the main office where Ted was.

Meanwhile, in Motel Room 3, Abigail and Bill were sound asleep. That was, until a male Snalgawk-part falcon, snake, eagle, and hawk-flew by a window, then flew back and looked through, seeing the people in bed. Because of his human brain, he knew that when they were asleep, he could kill them easily. The Snalgawk crashed through the window, barely waking Bill. He opened his eyes, seeing the Snalgawk and hearing his screech, but then closed them carelessly. Then he sat up straight and screamed. Loudly. Very, very loudly.

This, of course, woke Abigail, who shared the screech. The Snalgawk flew backwards by the shrillness of the voices, then used his wings to cover his ears, causing him to fall from midair. Abigail and Bill knew that this was their chance. They ran to the door and opened it, then slamming it behind them. They heard a thump, like the animal had flown into the door. But they didn't have time to check if the weird bird was dead-they had to go. Abigail immediately ran to Motel Room 6, where Bryan was sharing a room with Carl. They tried to open the door, but it was locked. So they started kicking and banging, yelling, too. "Carl! Bryan!" Bill hollered.

Suddenly, the door opened right when Bill was winding up to kick it hard. "What are you doing at one in the morning?!" Carl shouted, eyes wide. After the two explained, Carl woke Bryan and they all ran to Carl's large jeep. He slammed on the gas pedal, the car leaving to Ted's office, where Ted had slept in his room.

Meanwhile, in Motel Room 4, Sheldon and Quinn slept in a large bed when Quinn woke up to use the restroom. She did, and after washing her hands, she washed her face. Again. Underwater, she could barely hear a faint rumble. When she looked up, in the reflection of the mirror, the female Wolfion stood, in mid-jump. Quinn threw herself out of the way, crashing into a towel rack. When she got up, the Wolfion had blocked her path.

"Good, Scarlet!" she said. Then she realized why it hadn't eaten dinner-it had escaped from its cage. Right when the beast was about to run up to her, there was a smashing noise and her eyes rolled up to the back of her head and she fell forward, almost hitting Quinn's toes. Glass was everywhere and an empty TV box was on the Wolfion's back. Behind the Wolfion was Sheldon. "Why'd you grab the TV?!" Quinn asked, smiling and laughing.

Sheldon grinned. "What else was I gonna do!" The two laughed until they remembered that they had to go before the Wolfion woke back up, somehow. They ran out to the parking lot, where they found that the only car there was Quinn's Sedan. "I guess that the others left."

Somewhere out by Ted's office, Lily and Tara walked by all of the empty cages. But suddenly, they walked by the Chiger-cheetah and tiger-area, where a baby Chiger slept. "There is a hole on the inside of the glass tunneling to the outside, meaning that the parents are gone," Lily said to Tara, almost whispering.

All of the sudden there were fast footsteps in the distance. Tara smiled nervously, then joked, "not anymore!" The two broke out in a run right when they saw the two Chigers coming to them at a very fast speed. They ran to the nearest building-gift shop. They ran to the two story building and opened the door so fast, they almost smashed through it. Tara was in front of Lily, heading up the stairs. But, at the top, Lily got dragged down by one of the Chigers. Tara yanked on her friend's hand, happy to see barely any blood on Lily's legs. Then Tara karate kicked the Chiger in the face, knocking it backwards and into the other one. The two Chigers fell to the ground, quickly recovering. Lily then found a window at the end of the second story.

The two broke through, Lily saying, "you know, we could've just opened the window!"

Tara turned and smiled. "One-this is quicker. Two-it looks awesome. Three-you have to break out of your shell!"

Lily muttered to herself, "and apparently my body, too."

Ten minutes later, everyone was outside of Ted's office. They all walked up to the door, which had a giant hole in it. "That doesn't look too good," Carl muttered, walked through the hole. Everyone else followed and almost ran into Carl when they saw what had happened. Ted's body was on the ground, half eaten.

Abigail screamed. Bill then tried to comfort her. "It's okay, sure Dad's dead, but at least Mom's alive..."

Abigail could barely speak. "Not about that!" Bill just realized that Abigail was pointing at something. "L-look!"

The male Wolfion was in the corner, a piece of Ted Meat in his mouth.
