Fifteen- the Omen Fulfilled

The prophecy was spoken and passed through the mouths of the Pack; yet they did not listen, for their pride held them aloof. 

By then the Pack had been torn in two factions, one that upheld the elder twin Vadik, and the other the commanding Vladimir. 

Both snarled at each other, and territory was slashed in half; none would drink at the same stream with his brother that was now his enemy.

Yet Vadik was in fear, that he knew his brother was great in power. And when that day came a brother had been killed at the edge of the ridges near the borderline, there was only darkness in his heart. That he went to him and said:

My brother who once I held dearer than no other, why are we such enemies that have fought so bitterly with each other;

Let us come together, no more shall we be murderous glares and sharpened fangs. Make peace, and we will forever be united.

Full of doubt Vladimir regarded this brother with sincere eyes; his great heart was saddened of this turmoil and wanted it to end, why, perhaps as much as his brother did.

And that day he agreed to meet him, in sole person, so that they would discuss this peace treaty.

But it was darkness that held Vadik, and he did not turn back from it; that day he cut his brother by the throat, and left the body still and bleeding death in the wilderness.

Helpless were everyone when he had returned to claim King; they searched far and wide until the one stilled was found; and there they wept, but was powerless to do anything, for Vadik's head was high and challenged them, saying:

Was it not me that won over him? 

It is but a question of ties; I have surpassed my brother. And according to you, shall I be crowned King.

And that day, Vadik the Cruel set upon the throne of the One.

I feel like I'm being more and more lazy.><My chapters are getting quite sluggish and rushed, but at least now we have a move on.
