"Cause you had a bad day, you're taking one down, you sing a sad song just to turn it around"
Bad Day // Daniel Powter
"Oh my God," Lucy says in disgust her mouth turned up as if she'd smelled spoiled milk, "Look at him."
"I don't want that if I have a child," I say, shaking my head as I glance at the guy on my computer. Lucy decided to entertain my notion of becoming a surrogate. I had mentioned it so frequently that now she was curious to see the individuals on the website, though I suspected her real interest lay more in searching for potential sugar daddies than anything else.
"Again it wouldn't be your child, you would be carrying someone else's baby," She corrects me her eyes rolling as she put emphasis on her words,"being a stripper is still open. You don't have to wreck your body for it, and you can have fun."
"Just because you have the body of a goddess doesn't mean I do," I said getting off of the couch,"I have too much respect for myself to be half naked going up and down a pole. Maybe I should just get a real job, and not try to get fast cash." I could tell Lucy did not like that statement.
"And I don't have self respect?" She questions, her face showing I had hurt her, her nose scrunched up at me, and her hazel eyes squinting at me as if I were a tiny bug under a microscope.
"I didn't mean it like that, I meant you just have more confide --" Those words felt like a cover-up, and my body seemed to agree, Suddenly, I felt this chunky liquid rise up my throat, making me rush to the restroom. The taste of the puke leaving a horrible aftertaste in my mouth.
"Where are you going?" I ask wiping my mouth as I exited the restroom.
"Somewhere I have to go while you keep looking for whatever they're called," she responded pointing towards my computer sitting on the couch.
"Can you stop at Starbucks and get me a caramel macchiato?" I requested as she put her grey jacket onto her shoulders about to exit the apartment.
"Of course I will, I was gonna surprise you with it."
"No you weren't." I say going towards the couch, picking up my computer, there were a lot of candidates that needed someone to carry their seed and I was so bored that I was going to look through it. College was on break for the summer so I thought maybe if I did do surrogacy I could be done with the tough part of the first trimester by the time school started up again.
"Okay, I wasn't." She says closing the door quickly after. So I opened the first surrogacy website I seen it was called, Surrolink.
