SECONDS. Minutes. Hours. Days. Weeks. Months. And even a year. To sum it all, she's been away since last year. She left me without even informing me. It was a year since the last time I heard a news about her but now, news was fast spreading. Letting me know that she's back for real.
It was already ten in the evening yet I am still walking on my own, despite the fact that it was winter and the breezy air was striking on my face real hard, making my face feel thick and my breath was like a chamber of smoke whenever I speak or even just breath. My hands were covered with gloves enough for it to feel warm. An overall coat was covering my body.
On the middle of silent street, I am here, walking and enjoying the fact that I am alone. Just one street before my flat's location, stood a familiar figures, looking at my direction.
"Denise Park," a familiar voice that gives me irritation called out my name.
My brows furrowed as I stopped a meter away from them. "What a surprise," I sarcastically said, looking at them as if they're doing dirty things.
It was Jamaica McKlein, the person who I didn't get used to be along with. She gives me instant irritation plus the fact that she was my all time rival. Beside her was Sandy Rosenburg, my sister Crauss' girlfriend.
"News was spreading too fast, isn't it? I know you know what I mean, Denise. She's here," she said, leaning her back on the wall while both of her hands was inside her pocket. Acting cool, huh.
"Oh yeah?" I said with a smile but deep inside me, I was cussing seriously hard because of the fact the she didn't even show herself to me.
"You know, I came here to inform you that I'll gonna show what's love really mean. I will show her that I am deeply in love with her," she mockingly said. "As your number one rival, I will surely win it this time. You see? You lost her because of your fucking pride and ego! I pity you for that," she added.
Disgusting. That was the only word I knew this time. I am really disgusted with her confident.
"You---"
"Denise," Sandy interrupted. "You should talk to her and have some closure about this matter. Both of you need it," she said while reaching for my hand. She held it with both of hers.
I stiffened on what she said. Closure. Yeah, I fucking need it. Fuck! Can I give her the closure she need? Can I even tell her the truth? That I am really sorry for doing such thing?
"There's no need. I believe she can live her life without the closure you both are wishing for me to give her. As we all know, she left me alone and hanging for a year. She didn't even utter any words to inform me that she's leaving and now, she's back. She back without me, again, knowing it. So what's the deal for us having a closure? Surely we don't need that." Dang! Curse my mouth for being too talkative.
"You wolf!" Jamaica exclaimed as she punch me real hard straight in my face.
"Why you!" I said as I reach for her shirt's collar and held it tightly. Blood oozing on the side of my lips, it was warm.
"Stop it," Sandy, again, interrupted. Holding my both hands as if trying to calm me down.
I sighed as I pushed Jamaica away from me, "I wouldn't let this end, Jamaica. I won't accept defeat."
"Denise, please. Compose yourself, we all know that you want to see her. You missed her, don'cha?" at that very moment, my body became more stiff than ever.
I was about to say something when Sandy put up a hand... Fuck! "What the! Hey, remove this handcuff or else I will end your life."
"Let's try it, if you can. It is indeed for you own good," Jamaica responded.
