This is going to be a tad short, compared to what I was aiming for. My apologies.

Enjoy anyways. If any confusion, please let me know so I can clear things up.

I was walking around the dark alleyways of London, trying to find something harmless that I could eat, instead of killing a human.

It was against my rules to eat humans, as I'm not the 'canibal' type, you could say. I try to do my best at keeping that rule intact, eating off of small animals or deer. But, sometimes that wasn't enough for me.

I was about to make my way into the woods, before I heard an ear piercing scream coming from my right. I listened a little closer, trying to figure out where it was coming from.

Since I could hear the scream very clear, I figured it out to be about a mile away from where I was currently. I listened closer, making out about three male voices and then a cracking sound. As if someone was having every bone in their body crushed. Then that's when I smelled it. Blood.

I had to fight the urge of going over there and snapping their necks in two, and taking them home for my dinner. By the sounds of it, it seemed as if the person getting broken, owed the other three money.

I heard hushed whispers and one last cracking sound. I let my curiosity get the best of me, and made my way to where the sounds were coming from.

Much to my surprise whenever I got there, the three men were still there, digging around in the, now unconscious, boy's pockets.

I walked closer to them, and almost immediately, their heads snapped up in my direction.

One muttered a 'shit' under their breath, before turning around to make a run for it. I hurried and stopped in front of the first male, smelling the blood on his hands almost immediately.

I instantly got infuriated with him for beating up an innocent boy, over money issues.

It seems like after all these years, men still haven't grown up. I pushed the boy against the brick wall, cracking the bricks from the impact. His eyes closed shut and he winced, but slowly met my gaze.

"If you so much as breathe around this kid again, you'll be dead, got it?" I tilted my head up slightly, showing my mouth. My fangs came out almost instantly, making the boy's eyes shoot open in disbelief.

"Yes.." he said, trembling in my hands.

I shoved him away from me in disgust, turning towards the other two young men.

"And that goes for you two, as well. Now scram!"

The all nodded their heads and all ran off in different directions.

I scoffed to myself, "Pussies." and made my way to the boy in the middle of the alleyway, lying in a small puddle of blood. His chest was slowly moving up and down, telling me he was still alive. I had to restrain myself as much as possible to not bite him, and turn him into one of me. But that, also, was in the rule book. 'No turning humans unless they're your long last family, for they, too, shall live on.' Crappy rule in my book, if you ask me.

I kneeled down next to him, turning his head to face me. I noticed he was in some kind of work uniform, with a tag on his shirt that read, 'Hello my name is: Harry.' with a smiley face after his name.

I smiled to myself, looking at the boy in front of me. I noticed his pink, plum lips. The way his forehead had a slight crease forming, and his eyes were fluttering open. He locked eyes with me but quickly shut them, sucking in a sharp breath. My smile quickly faded. Why would someone beat up such a beautiful young man?

He's not even awake yet fully, and I can already tell he's a cheeky young lad, by the looks of his name tag.

I sighed and looked at Harry again, and I put my arms underneath his back and threw one of his arms over my shoulder. He squirmed a little bit, but soon relaxed whenever I started running in a very abnormal speed.

To him, it probably felt like flying. Not having to worry about a thing in the world, so far up in the sky that nothing can touch you. Unfortunately for him, he had a lot to worry about.

We soon made it to my flat and I tried to make it up the steps without waking Harry up. I put my hand on the doorknob, letting the screen take in my fingerprints to let me inside.

The door opened slowly, and I made my way inside. I looked around the living room thinking about laying him on the couch, but that would be too painful. So, I made my way to my bedroom, 'duvets back' I spoke to the room, and the sheets automatically pulled back.

I laid Harry down on the bed and looked at him. He looked so peaceful, but a pained expression still played on his features form the previous events.

And that's when I realized, I had to protect Harry and keep him safe.. at all costs.
