Ivy always hated that smile of his. Etched on that face constantly. As if being thrown into Arkham was something to be happy about. Some..accomplishment, as if he was coming home.
His grin widened with every step, his arms handcuffed behind him, being pushed past the multiple cells housing various criminals.
And She was one of them.
Ivy watched as he looked left and right, as if he was trying to find a familiar face.
He spotted her, to her utter dismay.
"Ah! Ivy! Or should I say PAMELA! Ahahahaha!!!" His shrill voice pierced ivy's ears, but She refused to react to him. The last thing She wanted was to satisfy the clown prince.
He stopped his laughter as quickly as he started and winked at Ivy. She turned her head away and sat on the thin bed attached to the wall. Her life had spiraled into this...deep, unforgiving abyss thanks to that dreaded clown.
But if he had taught ivy one thing, it was to rid herself of emotions pertaining to sadness and defeat. To channel Those emotions into revenge and dark intent.
And She still had that in her.
After what seemed like several hours, Ivy heard footsteps again. And a familiar voice. So talkative. So annoying.
He was led to the cell directly across hers. Only 20 feet of distance between them, and she still couldn't understand how these idiot guards allowed for it to happen. Didn't they know about this man and this woman? Their involvement?
His eyes never left her form. He kept staring with a grin. His arms still cuffed but on his front this time. He sat on the bed in his cell, arms cuffed on his lap, a smile on his face.
"I see your bruises are gone..from that perfect smooth skin of yours..." He said huskily. Ivy rolled her eyes and turned her head away.
"Aww, what's the matter ivy? Still pissed that i was the reason you're in here?" He mocked her. He was trying to get her to talk but Knowing this all too well, she refused.
"I thought they would place you into a greenhouse. After all, you did aid them in catching me. Right?" His tone was now dark and low.
"What do you care clown?" Ivy replied coldly, still not making eye contact.
"Still can't look me in the eyes huh? I understand, not after what we were about to do." He smirked.
Ivy ground her teeth in anger. All She needed was one vine, one piece of greenery, a shrub, anything would suffice for her to stretch it across to his cell and strangle him. The thought caused her to smile and he noticed.
"Aww there's a smile," he said, content and unaware of the fantasies going through her mind.
He stood up and walked to the glass keeping in confined. "You know," he started, "I always thought you were a sly little minx. With your red hair and mysterious dark eyes. You and I could have been perfect together."
I scoffed at this. "Not even in your dreams clown. I'd much sooner seduce the batfreak and have him crawling on his knees towards my snatch than have your conniving, abusive ass." She thought her words should have stung. But being the sick sadist he was, She knew he was amused by this.
"Oh? But I thought you liked it rough, seeing as how you let me spank that ass that one time." Once again, his laughter filled the air around them.
She kept watching him. Her mind raced as she recalled the horrors of that night, but she quickly shook her head in an effort to suppress those memories. She stood up and faced him as well, both standing behind their glass cages.
"You know Jack," she said with a smirk on her face, "it might have been you spanking me but it was batman I was thinking about." She grinned at him, knowing that psychological warfare would be the only way to get even with the maniac before her.
She knew where he stood with batman. She knew he despised the caped crusader. He immediately growled at her remark and slammed his cuffed hands onto the glass wall. "You will pay for that you bitch!"
This action prompted a few security guards to rush to their cells. They quickly removed joker, noting the distress between the two. Joker was led to another part of the asylum by the guards, while glaring at Ivy, who stared at him with a smile.
"Finally, some peace and quiet," she said to herself as she sat on her bed, sighing.
------
Explosions rocked Arkham in the dead of night. The normally calm asylum now filled with scrambling guards. Ivy was awakened by the sounds of panic, feeling angry that her rest was disturbed by something that would probably end up turning minuscule.
As she scanned the visible parts of the space outside her cell, she noticed all the guards of the floor were on the ground. Dead.
She also noticed most cell doors were opened. How come hers wasn't?
She turned around suddenly to find the clown prince himself staring her straight in the face.
"Well well, what do we have here?" He said, his eyes fixed on her.
Ivy growled and backed away from him.
"Now Ivy, don't be rude," he said walking towards her, "after all, you were rude once before. Don't make it twice in a day. I may be a forgiving clown but I certainly won't forget," he said as her back hit the wall and he slammed his fists to the wall behind her.
"Then what do you want? How did you do this?" She asked, not trying to sound too panicked. After all, he would enjoy that very much and once again, she didn't want to give him the satisfaction.
"Don't you know dear girl? I ALWAYS escape. They never learn." He said shaking his head and chuckling.
He grabbed her chin and brought his face closer to hers. "Are you coming with me or not?"
"No," she said.
"Why not? Think of all the greenery you'd have at your disposal! I'm giving you a chance to regain your power." His words were like honey but she knew he couldn't be trusted.
"Oh please, like you care. It was because of you that I'm here in Arkham. Tell me why i should trust you." She was annoyed at this point. He sold her out and that's how they caught her. And though it took a while to find him, she still was upset that she went first.
"Because you are the reason I'm here, my dear," he said as sweetly as he could. "You see," he started, "I had no intention of being caught. In fact, you could say I never would get caught. But I knew you were here. And I had to retrieve you."
She rolled her eyes. "Quit the romance. It's appalling." She said closing her eyes, not wanting to see him.
"Oh no, nothing like that," he grinned at her. "Are you coming with me or do I drag you out?" He said, getting annoyed at the amount of time it took to get an answer out of her.
He sighed and raised his hand to her neck and quickly stuck a needle onto it. Her vision blurred and she immediately fell into his waiting arms. He held onto her tightly as he made his escape.
