Chapter 2

W-Why is he here!?

[ Rin's POV ]

"Mom, dad, who are they?" I asked but they were too busy talking with some visitors of ours so I coughed not only once but a lot more to get their attention.

Both my parents gave me a clueless look before they figured it out that I would soon question about them.

"Sweetie, meet my besties~♡" she exclaimed as she introduced me to the two adults. "And this is their son, Len Shion" mom said so happily with a smile on her face that sends some creepy vibes.

"So?" Another questioned slipped my mouth and it didn't even bother me if I somehow acted rude. But it seems to be that they didn't mind.

"So, starting today, they're going to live with us from now on!" The smirk on her face was a mischievous one. One that is up to something.

Even if she's the sweetest mother of mine, her plans to make me get along with him will not happen. Never.

"Will you agree on this darling~? Please? Will you?" Mom begged for my acceptance as she tried to make me by batting her long eyelashes and using the puppy eyes.

Suddenly, a hand rested on her shoulders as she turned around to face the person who did so.

"Luka, I think you said darling to the wrong person. And stop with your adorable puppy eyes. I don't want anyone to see the cute you" well, dad sure is the easily-will-get-jealous type of guy. He embraced her as if telling us that mom belongs only to him.

Well, I can't blame him. Mother really is pretty and I wonder how lucky my dad is to have a wife like her.

Then the abrubt laughter caught me off guard for a second as everyone continued laughing and I just went along for me not be left out.

"By the way Rin, me, your mom and our friends are going to U.S.A because apparently there is some buisness we have to take care of in there. So, is it a go, go? Or is it a no, no?"

Wait... this is too suspicious.

First, our so called visitors are gonna live with us and second, my parents announced that their friends are coming with them to U.S.A  which leaves me and Len. Alone. Just the two of us.

I would gladly want to go with the no, no but asking and agreeing to this isn't too bad and I feel like I'll regret this later but oh, well.

"Y-you two are obviously gonna come back, right?..." my voice trembled by asking. Wait, tremble? Pfft! Puh lease, as if.

Well I do admit that I'm in denial because who will cook for me and take good care of the house when they're gone!?

Just kidding. It's not like it's the only reason I wanted them to stay (A/N: Tsk, tsk, tsk. Such a liar. Jk).

"Of course we will come back! For about 6 years though. Visiting you from time to time is a yes, yes so it's fine"

That was the cruelest thing my father has ever said.

I just wished it would have passed through my ears but it can't be helped. I'm not deaf and I blame it for that (not that I actually want to be a real deaf).

I inhaled. Sucked my breath and let it all out as I'm about to speak.

"Who could wait that long!? Do you expect me to!---" I yelled but stopped. "Actually, I'm too old enough to be taken care of so I don't mind that much" after I said that, dad was smart enough to joke around to lighten up the mood.
