Chapter 14: Unsure.

I quickly went upstairs as I heard someone vomiting. "Michele, are you okay?" She rinses her mouth.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I've just had a lot of stress this past week. Nothing to worry about." Okay something was deffinately not right here. Think Joni, what could be wrong with her? She has to puke, she has to go to the bathroom a lot, she eats again. Suddenly it clicked. I thoughed she was just craving food because she hasn't eaten in a while. I jumped in my car and drove to the closest drugstore. I buy a few pregnancy-tests. I drive back home. Michele sat on the couch. I hand her the bag. "What's this?"

"Open the bag." She looks inside the bag and shakes her head.

"I can't be. Kendall and I always used protection."

"Just take one test. You never know." She nods and goes to the bathroom. A few minutes later she came out again.

"This one must be broken." I take a look at it. It said possitive.

"Go take the others." She goes back into the bathroom. I sit on the couch as I wait. About half an hour later she sits next to me. She lays her head on my shoulder.

"I'm not ready." A wide smile spread across my face.

"Of course you are." I give her a hug. "I see how you act around Nicholas. You're more than ready."

"Kendall isn't even awake."

"Yeah but he's fine. The opperation went perfectly fine. You know what, when we go visit him tomorrow we'll go to a doctor and check you up." She nods. "Now go to bed you need your sleep, soon-to-be-mommy." She smiles at my words.

"Night." She hugs me.

"Goodnight sweetie." I go to my room and take this opportunity to call James. Too bad Nicholas is already asleep, since it's already 8pm here.

"Boo!" James shouts as he picks up the phone. I giggle. He sounds as happy as a kid in a candy-store. "How's my beautiful girl and my baby?" I lay my hand on my stomach and smile.

"We're good, but we miss you and Nicholas."

"We miss you too. When are you coming home?" He whines. I giggle at how adorable he's being.

"I'm not sure, Kendall isn't awake yet."

"So he's okay?"

"The opperation went good, but as long as he doesn't wake up we can't be sure." I hear him yawn. I giggle at how cute he sounds. "Go to sleep, baby, you're tired." He whines.

"I already can't see you're beautiful face or feel your soft lips, at least let me hear your voice." He begs.

"Fine, I'll sing to you."

"I'd like that."

Just tell me that you'll stay." I paused a little only to hear quiet snores coming from the other side of the line. "Night James." I whisper and end the call. I lay my phone on my beside-table and close my eyes.
