Letter

It's now December and it's been two weeks since Shyann's miscarriage. Her and Grayson have been over almost everyday. Grayson has started talking to Vivianne, it's so cute.

I guess the miscarriage made him grateful for his niece. As long as he's happy, I'm happy. Shyann doesn't talk much anymore. It's almost like she's mad at me, because I'm still pregnant.

"You got something in the mail" Ethan says, as he walks in, handing me an envelope. I open it to see it's from court.

Dear Maia
We are required to inform you that Landon Carter will be getting out in three weeks for good behavior. You have an order of protection, so we will be checking on you and Landon. There will be police officers over twice a week and Landon has to check in with his probation officer twice a day.

I gulp. "L-Landon's getting out in three weeks.." I say. "What?!" Ethan yells, ripping the paper from my hand. "Viviannes due a month after he gets out.. There's no telling what he might do" He yells.

"I know. Is there any way he could stay in jail?" I ask. "The only way, is if he does something really bad in jail" He says. I roll my eyes. "All we have is a restraining order. It's a piece of freaking paper.. Landon isn't going to be like. 'Oh, they have a piece of paper, better not try to kill my unborn child again'" I say, putting my head in my hands.

Ethan sits down beside me and rubs my back. "Hopefully he won't be so stupid again" He says, lifting my head up and kissing my cheek. "Let's not stress, let's be happy! We're moving tomorrow!!" He says. "Oh yeah.. I completely forgot about that.." I say. We paid for packers and movers, because I can't pack or move, because of my pregnancy.

"Also! Cameron's on her way!" Ethan says. "Really? That's amazing! I finally get to meet the amazing sister you guys talk about" I say happily. Ethan nods, with a huge grin on his face.

Cameron finally arrives. Ethan runs to her and hugs her, almost knocking her down. "So. This is Maia?" She asks, walking over to me and hugging me. I nod. "And this is Vivanne" Ethan says, placing his hand on my stomach. She smiles. "Can I touch?" She asks. I nod as she places her hand on my stomach.

Vivianne kicks. "She loves when people touch my stomach" I say, giggling. "Wow. How does that feel?" Cameron asks. "Like someone's rolling around in there" I say. "Does it hurt?" She asks. "Sometimes she kicks my ribs, and that doesn't feel very good and sometimes she moves where she's right on my bladder, which is kind of painful and it makes me have to pee" I say, rubbing my stomach.

The front door opens and two people walk in. "Mom! Dad! I don't know you guys were coming!!" Ethan yells, running over to them and engulfing them in huge hugs. "Hello Maia. We've heard so much about you" Lisa says, walking over to me and hugging me. I smile and hug her back.

"Nice to finally meet you" Sean says, hugging me. "You too" I say hugging him back. "So her name's going to be Vivianne?" She asks. I nod. "Vivianne Annalise" I say. "That's beautiful" She says. I smile.

"May I touch your stomach?" She asks. I nod. She touches it and Vivanne moves once again. "She's very active, huh?" She asks. "Mhm, only when I'm still or when someone touches my stomach. Or when Ethan talks" I say, smiling up at Ethan.

"We've got some taco bake in the oven. Would you guys like some?" I ask, walking to the kitchen. They nod and follow me. I grab some plates and we all get some food, then sit down and begin eating. "So you're sixteen?" Sean asks. I nod. "I'll be seventeen a few months after Vivianne is born" I say, shoving some food in my mouth.

"Ooohh she won't be legal when you turn eighteen in a few days" Cam says. I roll my eyes and Ethan kicks her. "Are you guys staying until their birthday?" I say, uncomfortably changing the subject. "Yes, if that's okay" Lisa says. "That's perfectly fine. We have to spare bedrooms" I say. "So, you're going to start moving tomorrow?" Sean asks. "We're taking ourselves and the few clothes we have left here, the movers have already taken everything we want over there. They're putting the stuff where we want it right now" I say. Lisa nods and eats a little.

Once we're finished Cam washes the dishes for us. "Thank you so much Cam" I say, as I quickly waddle to the bathroom. "No problem" She says, washing the last dish.

I barely make it to the bathroom to pee. It feels like she's sitting straight on my bladder. I finish and walk to the living room. "Why did you kick me when I said that? You're acting like you've never even touched her before" I hear Cameron say. I stop and decide to eavesdrop. "I haven't, not like that" Ethan says. "Really? You guys have been dating for almost a year and you've never done anything?" Cam says. "No. She isn't ready.. Her crazy baby daddy is in jail right now from kidnapping, raping her and trying to kill Vivanne. But he's getting out in three weeks.." Ethan says. Cameron doesn't say anythung.

I walk in the living room and sit beside Ethan. "Where's Sean and Lisa?" I ask. "They went to Shyann and Grayson's house, they're staying there and Cam is sleeping on the couch" Ethan says. "Oh. Okay. Do you guys want to watch a movie?" I ask. They nod and we find a movie.
