It was 6:45 am when I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. I had no patience for school but I knew I had to go. I got out of bed, went to brush my teeth and get dressed, It was a hot sunny day in Miami, so I decided to wear my lavender shorts with my flowy tank top and sandals. I was ready by 7:05 but I didn't want to walk. Taking him up on his offer from last night, I texted James and asked him if he could give me a ride.

He replied about a minute later saying:

"Sure, be there in 2. You better be ready cuz I'm not waiting ;)"

I smiled to myself, knowing he was kidding, I answered with a quick

"Thnx dw :)" I mean James knew that me of all people would be ready on time. After all I was "miss perfect attendance!"

I heard a honk exactly two minutes later I grabbed my backpack from the couch and locked the door behind me I got in the car and thanked him for picking me up. He told me not to worry about it.

As we were driving I was thinking to myself, I was really lucky to have a friend like James he was like the older brother I never had.

We got to school James parked in the parking lot across from the building. I thanked him again before leaving to my first class of the day. Before I could even step inside the building I was attacked by a screaming Sara I swear she gave me the biggest heart attack in my life!

"OOOOOHHHHH MMMYYYY GGGGOOODDDD!!!!! KATY GUESS WHAT I GOT THIS MORNING AS AN EARLY BIRTHDAY PRESENT?!?!??!?!"

I didn't know what could be so amazing that could make someone so hyper and loud in the morning. And I was still trying to recover from my heart attack!

"I have no idea, Sara" I replied honestly. "But it better be good after you almost scared the living daylights out of me!"

"Good?" She asked a little taken aback. "I don't think there is anything better!"

"So then tell me already!!" I answered getting excited for something I had no clue about.

"MY MOM BOUGHT ME TWO TICKETS TO AN AUSTIN MAHONE CONCERT IN MIAMI ON JULY 3rd!!!! AND I HAVE BACKSTAGE PASSES TO MEET HIM!!!" Sara seriously looked on the verge of tears! As I told you before, I honestly didn't care for this stuff but I wasn't going to disappoint her so I just put on my most genuine smile and said:

"No way!! I'm so happy for you! This is what you always wanted isn't it?" Truthfully I was happy for her she always wanted it and now she would be able to meet this Austin Mahone kid. I actually couldn't be more happy for her!

"YES" she said "I swear I almost died when my mom gave them to me this morning! And I wanted to ask you, even though I know you don't care about him, would you come with me? Like take my second ticket?"

Now I was shocked I was so sure she would have a mahomie friend that she would want to take with! Why me? Ya I am her best friend but I really didn't enjoy this stuff!

"Sure! I would love to come, but you don't know anybody who would care more about this stuff?" I asked.

"I do," she replied " but no one I would want to take. Your my best friend, I probably wouldn't have fun if you weren't there."

I was definitely touched. She was going to see Austin Mahone, her world seemed to revolve around him and she doesn't think it would be fun if I wasn't there!

"Yes, I'll come!" I said, now sharing in her excitement.

"YAY" she squealed excitedly giving me a hug. "I'M SO EXCITED!"

I told her I had to run because I didn't want to be late for class.

I felt like today would be a good day. I am excited I just have to wait two months until the concert! But I guess I have Sara's birthday party to look forward to. I'm thinking of making her a surprise party.
