Author's Note:
Welcome back Wattpad lovers!!! If you happened to have read my post on my message board from a short while ago, you would've see that I set an ultimatum for the next update: 100 views plus 50 votes. And guess what?? We surpassed that! Great job :) For a second, I was worried there. *wipes forehead. Don't ever take that long again! I was starting to lose hope for this book :'(
BUT alas, you deserve another chapter and I've been getting update requests from some very nice people- my heart goes out to ya'll. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the chapter. And just a note, I love reading your comments throughout the story. Keep it up! I'll try to reply my thoughts as well :))
Read On*** (This one is a laugh I think)
This chapter is dedicated to JustAGIRLMANI. Thanks for the passionate love toward my story ;*
When I get to my room, I stop just outside the door. I hear the girls laughing about something that must be pretty dang hilarious because Sandra will just not stop giggling. I take a deep breath. Straightening my back and lifting my chin up, I twist the knob and step inside.
As soon as I get in there, all the laughing stops. I close the door and face them. They just stare at me.
"Oh, no. Don't stop on my account. Please, continue." I say sarcastically.
They all just stay silent and look away guiltily.
"Actually.. no. How about we talk about your guys' issue with me hanging out with the boys?"
Looking at all of their faces, they don't seem as ashamed as they are embarrassed. I note the fact that Tessa, Halley, Sam and Nicole aren't here. I'm glad they aren't, because that would lead me to think that they had been talking about me too, and I really would be disappointed if Nicole was a part of a group that was. She was the closest thing I could think of to be my best friend, even if we don't always click or agree on things. Her gossiping about me would break my heart.
I try to not speak in anger, so I take a deep breath and hold it for a second before I let it go.
"Look," I sigh. "I don't have a problem with the fact that you guys think that I'm turning into one of the boys. Really, I don't. That's your opinion, and you hardly even know me so why would I even care?"
Still staying quiet, they all exchange glances. I continue.
"But what my issue is is that you guys didn't tell me that you had a problem with it. You had to go and talk about me behind my back, and I'm not okay with that. If there's an issue between you and me that you want to press, you need to tell me about it, not anyone else. Okay?"
I have to take another breath because I can feel myself getting worked up here.
"Look," I say. "I think I'm just going to hang with the others for a while. I kind of don't want to have to deal with drama. I mean it's only the second freakin' day, so..." I shrug. "I'll see you guys later, I guess."
I turn and leave, and once I close the door, I hear Jessie mumble, "Well, that was awkward."
I just shake my head, and head outside. Why did I even go to the room? I didn't need anything out of there... perhaps maybe my dignity but that's it.
I sigh. "Oh well."
When I step outside, the guys stop talking again and nod at me.
"So how'd it go?" asks Carter.
