Different

She is different

Beth:

I stared at her, Steph, my friend.  I know she is hiding a secret, but it can't be that bad. Can it? What I am trying to say is that everyone has their own little secrets but they always turn out to be small and soon forgotten.  For example my secret is that I am a bit of a geek. But then that's cool with me and everyone knows. But then it could be something big like cancer or parents death, but they don't happen as often.

Steph:

They kept staring at me.  I don't like it one bit. Okay, the moment you have all been waiting for.  What am I? Well,  I don't really know.  But I am different in a big way. When I say big I mean it. I see visions of the near future and I can heal others. I also have some other 'powers' for example moving objects using my mind. But the main thing I can do is shapeshift. It took me a long time to realise that I was something different than other people.

It started halfway through year 8. As any 13 year old I was scared. I didn't know what to do, but I knew I couldn't tell anyone else about who and what I was.

"Steph?????" Said Kim.  I must have blanked out, now that just makes me even more creepy.  I signed.  "Let's go, were gonna be late. " I told them quickly.  They knew that they have lost because they kept quiet. We had drama first and he hates me, the drama teacher,  Mr Cliff.  Ok, I know it's funny and a tad bit weird that I act every day in real life pretending to be someone else, but make me perform in front of the whole class I might as well just die.

The twins kept on staring at me and I hate it. "Sorry I need the toilet, meet me at the lesson", I said quickly.  They nodded but weren't convinced.  I smiled. As you guys thought I didn't go to the toilet but instead I found myself in the science block.  (By the way my room is miles away from the science block).

This is another thing that is happening to me, it started 2 days ago on Wednesday.  Sometimes when I walk somewhere I get this tingly feeling and find myself somewhere different.  For example, the first time it happened was when I was walking back to the school from this birthday party.  My whole body felt numb and in a blink of an eye I was at the toilets of sainsbury's near the school.  Now I can control it more but I am not strong enough. Im 16. So I am struggling with my gcse's let alone 'teleporting' just like that.

I quickly rushed past the science office.  I stopped dead in my tracks as I heard my name. As you know I have great hearing.  This is what I heard exactly: "We need to protect her. Stephenie should know the truth. " This was Miss Lean's voice. (My p.e teacher). "Or she might be in even more danger if she knew" That was the voice of Mr Smith. My science teacher. Explain what? There was silence.  Just for a minuet or so. Finally Miss Lean spoke.  "She is right outside". I tensed and heard the door open. I didn't know what to do so I ran...
