The Truth

Steph:

I sighed. I was going to tell them. Miss Lean said that they were clean and won't bring harm to me. "Ok", I said composing myself. "Im gonna tell you", I told them. They sat down next to me. "Tell us what Steph?" They asked in unison. I took a deep breath.  This was it - time to reveal what I have been hiding for the past few years. "I have lied to you for a long time.  I am not who you think I am", I explained bowing my head in shame. They still stared at me, shocked, I guess urging me to say more. "What do you mean?" Asked Beth.  I looked into her eyes. "I am not human,  I was born on another world and brought here on Earth when I was a few days old. I am sorry that I couldn't tell you earlier, I was too scared." I explained further.

They were staring at me.  I didn't like it.  I was shaking,  what was going to happen? Will they still be my friends?  100 questions flooded through my mind. Maybe I should not have told them. "Steph is it true?" Asked Kim. "If you are lying I don't know what we're going to do to you", finished Beth. I breathed out. "it's all true, I am not human," I replied.

They stared at me. "Ok, thats fine by me." Beth said finally. Kim nodded in aproveal.  "Thanks guys", I said and hugged them.

Just then the school bell rang. We had English and Maths next but then we finish lessons for the weekend.  (Yes we finish early). "Shall we go? " I asked them.  They nodded and stood up with me. "Are you alright? " Asked Beth.  I nodded."Of course I am, why wouldn't I?" I replied.  " You did just have a vision, and by the looks of it it looked kinda bad. Was it bad Steph? " Continued Kim.  Oh the vision, it can sometimes suck when you can see what will happen in the future.  "Yes, it was pretty bad." I replied. "Erm lets go; we're going to be late," I said trying to change the subject.  I will tell them what I saw later. Right now I have something else to focus on, like how to keep the twins safe as they now know my secret. 

They got the message.  They knew that I wasn't comfortable telling them now so they would ask later. We stepped out of our room and started walking towards the English block. " So, did you the homework sir set us?" I asked Kim and Beth,  trying to act all normal. I mean I did have a long day and its only 11:00 am!  What else might happen today? They nodded.  "It was pretty hard, I hate Mythology. ", Replied Kim. I nodded. I found it easy, actually I find everything easy (apart from drama).

"Ah Stephenie,  just the person I was looking for", said a voice behind me.  It was Mr Abad. The headteacher. There was something about him I didn't like.  "Erm sir I have English next and I have already been late to all my other lessons so I don't want to be late." I replied. 

Once, a few weeks ago, I went into his mind, by accident of course,  and found the most darkest things. I had no idea what they were but only that it was bad. Ever since then I have tried to keep away from him.

He nodded "of course,  come to my office after school then, " he said. The was coldness in his voice,  even the twins felt it. Something was not right here. "Actually,  Stephenie is busy after school. " Said a voice behind me. We all turned round and saw Miss Lean. "Fine," snapped the headteacher and he left.

Miss walked towards us.  "You should get going to your next lesson. You don't want to be late. " She said. We all nodded and left. 

"What was that about? " Asked Kim.  I shook my head. "I dunno, but it didn't feel good", I replied.  I sighed,  something was wrong at this school,  I could sense it.
