Amethyst's Corruption

Chapter 5

Steven's POV

I was texting Connie when I heard a loud crash "AMETHYST!!" She had knocked over the fridge "If you're hungry just tell me and I'll get you food." I pet her head she made a weird sorta purr noise and when I stopped she hit her head against my arm so I'd pet her head again she kinda was like a dog maybe I could train her then another crash lion had gotten something "LION!" I ran over and grabbed the shoe peridot took the velcro out of I haven't seen them in a while maybe I should visit them but I can't leave amethyst alone maybe she could come to she does get along well with peridot and she could use the fresh air "Hey amethyst want to go visit lapis and peridot?" She kinda seemed excited her tail was wagging I couldn't help but smile I tried to push her onto the warp pad but she didn't want to so I got a leftover donut from when we went with Connie and put it on the warp pad and when she came onto the pad I warped us to the barn "Alright amethyst we're here." I turned to face her but then I saw her running towards the barn "Uh oh." Lapis and peridot don't know that amethyst is corrupted I ran as fast as fast as I could after amethyst but she reached the barn first I heard peridot scream "AAAAAaaAAaaAa WHAT IS THAT?!?!" Oh no OH NO THEY MIGHT POOF AMETHYST "GUYS WAIT STOP ITS AMETHYST!" Lapis and peridot froze amethyst startdd to rub against one of Lapis' morp because their was a leaf in it she ended up collapsing on it like a puppy and getting mud all over her peridot frowned "It guess it really is her..." she seemed sad she did call amethyst the "best gem here" she walked over to amethyst and held her hand up "do you....recognize me?" Peridot asked amethyst rubbed up against her and collapsed on top of her and made the same purring noise she was from before "She likes it when you pet her." I told peridot as I walked over to her and amethyst and sat down to reach thier level "Pet?" Oh right home world gems don't have stuff like this "Yeah like this." I put my hand on amethyst's head and pet her and peridot did the same but she didn't smile if anything it made her more upset Lapis came and say down next to me "Oh lapis do you want to pet her?" Lapis stared at amethyst for a few seconds "No I'll just look." I gave her a small smile and turned back to peridot she just stared at amethyst "How....did this happen?" I hesitated "We really don't know what happened we went on a mission and when we found her she was like this." I thought back to when we found her I remember when jasper was corrupted was that what it was like for amethyst slow and painful then I thought more about jasper she was corrupted and so was amethyst maybe they would get along they do seen to get along in pairs the one jasper fused with and the other one that's bubbled they could be friends and it could help with amethyst's energy "GUUUUUUYS" I yelled "Steven you don't have to shout we're right here."Lapis said while putting her hand on my head "oh right well I have an idea you know how jasper is corrupted?'' Lapis nodded "Yeah" "Let's get jasper and amethyst together so they can be buds!" Lapis stared "Steven that doesn't sound like the best idea." I frowned "Come on can we at least try it pleeeeeeease" I begged lapis sighed "Allright but let's do it by the beach that way if it goes south I can poof jasper." I smiled this was good jasper could be free and amethyst could have have a friend they could be corrupted friends and they could have a shot at happiness
