10 years had passed, the Revolution had ended and we had returned home, I stood in the west wing of the new house we'd ordered built over the old house of Brighton. I watched as Amelia played in the courtyard with Xander who looked just as old as her now; they both looked 16. Xander had grown quickly reaching age 16 in just 8 years and in the first years they had sat Amelia down and told her and revealed to her everything and she knew it was 'their secret' and not to tell anyone else. Amelia had grown beautiful looking very similar to herself at 16 save for her strawberry curls which were solely Amelia, and Xander had grown to look like Lord Xander only with her curls and her eyes.

She jumped slightly at the arm that slid around her waist then shivered at the kiss upon her throat, "I'm glad they get along so well despite things." Xander stated then nuzzled her hair.

"Yes, I agree...they've developed a bond nothing will ever break...not even death." she stated firmly, sadly.

"I've said it once and I'll say it again, I could not ask for more." he whispered nibbling her ear lightly.

"Me either, I never dreamed...never knew and even still sometimes I feel like I'm in a dream but all I have to do is touch you or hug him and I know it's all real." she whispered in return, "When the time comes...when she's a young woman I want to ask if she will join us...Francois already has plans to turn Yvette after their child is born in June."

"Yes...we can ask her this but...we will have to move further away from town as to not look suspicious...that's if she agrees." he stated then kissed her head, "I will not deny you the right to give her that option it would only be fair...however you should wait incase she marries and desires children."

"Of course I will wait until then." she stated quickly, she would give her that option, "While I do not regret our union I would not wish my fate upon her of being thrown into a marriage...I got lucky many young girls do not." she sighed, "and if she chooses to live out her life as a human...I am prepared to slowly fade out of it as not to draw suspicion."

He cuddled her closer and sighed himself, "You have become an amazing woman Lady Freya von Brighton and I could ask for the fates to have thrown no better of a woman at me as my eternal partner.

Smiling one last time she reached out and touched a family portrait they'd had painted only months ago and her heart swelled.

"I could have never asked for a better fate."
