AN; Hey guys so finally an update! It's not as long as I had hoped it would be BUT I felt that it flowed best this way. I plan on starting the next chapter tonight (HOPEFULLY) but yeah we'll see :3 I've also got a few more ideas for the Cry Baby book as well as several AU one shots lined up. As of right now I am motivated and inspired, but somewhat distracted so it may be a while before the next update. Love you guys, thank you for being patient!
A few hours later Yoongi was interrupted from his writing once again when his cellphone rang out. The shrill beeping startled and irritated him, quickly pausing his writing to hastily answer the phone just to silence the beeping "hello?" In that moment he heard his best friend that lived right across the hall from him say "dinners ready! Get over here ASAP!!" Then hung up on Yoongi, causing him to chuckle softly to himself. With a few fluid movements he'd pocketed his cellphone, wallet, and keys before exiting his apartment and locking up behind him. He took exactly five steps across the hall and knocked on the younger's front door. It opened almost instantly to reveal Jimin smiling widely, eyes crinkling into crescent shapes and sweet voice announcing "come on in!" The writer gazed fondly at his best friend, corners of his mouth twitching upwards in a small smile that would've gone unnoticed by anyone who didn't know Yoongi. The blonde stepped in, ruffling Jimins hair affectionately, a habit he'd been in since the two were kids. Jimin had playfully slapped the older's hand away, whining as he attempted to fix his disheveled locks "why do you always do that? I work hard to get my hair looking this good!" Yoongi rolled his eyes, lazy smirk hanging on his lips as he teased "oh really? I couldn't tell. I always ruffle it to make it look better" Jimin glared, but the amusement in his eyes was clear "very funny. Lots of people think I'm handsome~" Yoongi let his mouth gape open in surprise, cheekily saying "are they blind?" Jimin blinked in surprise, soon laughing loudly and shaking his head "you're too much, come one lets eat" Yoongi merely smiled to himself, following the younger to his small dinning area with a round glass table and four chairs.
Yoongi sat down a cross from his best friend, noting the spread of Chinese take out boxes "when you invited me over for dinner, I thought you were actually gonna cook Jiminie.." Jimin laughed, shrugging "I tried. It caught on fire, so I ordered this instead" Yoongi chuckled quietly, grabbing one of the boxes of chicken "you better hope you can find a boyfriend that can cook" Jimin nodded, emptying half of each boxes contents into his plate for Yoongi to have the other half "I hope so. Hey... Yoongi?" The older raised an eyebrow, although his eyes were glued to his plate as he emptied the remaining food items onto his plate, humming "hmm?" Questioningly. The red head bit his lip a moment in thought before asking seriously "can I meet Hoseok?" Yoongi shrugged "sure I guess. But don't tell him I write books for a living, he might think it's weird" Jimin nodded "sure. Ask him over here for dinner next week. I'll invite Jin, that way he can help me cook. Do you want to invite Namjoon...?" Yoongi stiffened at the question, he'd been trying to forget the threat he'd received from his old drinking buddy, forcing a blank stare "no. He's not invited" Jimin frowned, poking absent mindedly at his food "you really think you can hide something from me? Somethings been bothering you since earlier, it's got to do with Namjoon doesn't it?" Yoongi sighed, leaning back in his seat, shoving his plate of food away slightly "I stopped drinking a few weeks ago after Namjoon... Went too far..." Jimins eyes narrowed, fists visibly clenching in anger. It was amusing to Yoongi because he and Jimin both knew that Jimin wasn't capable of hurting so much as a fly, let alone a person. Jimin exhaled slowly, attempting to calm himself "what do you mean by... Went too far? Did he hurt you? Did he force himself on you?" Yoongi rolled his eyes "I'm fine, relax. He didn't 'force himself on me' you make it sound like I'm a weakling.." Jimin slammed his hands down on the table, slightly startling Yoongi, mumbling his question again through gritted teeth "did he hurt you?" Yoongi huffed, finally caving "yeah. He beat the shit out of me because he was wasted and I said something I shouldn't have. We haven't talked since, until yesterday.. He called and asked me to go out, I told him I was done with him, and he..." Yoongi sighed softly, muttering the last part quietly in hopes of Jimin not hearing his words "he threatened me. He said he knows where I live.." Silence engulfed the table for a few tense minutes, Yoongi gaging the younger man's features as several different emotions passed by clearly on his face. He could always read Jimin like an open book, he wasn't exactly subtle when he was angry or sad, anyone who knew Jimin could easily tell what he was feeling. Yoongi on the other hand.. He knew Jimin would always be the only one to know him inside and out, how his mind worked, what he was thinking... Jimin was his best friend, he could never hide anything from him, and Jimin knew that. Finally Yoongi cleared his throat to break the silence, then mumbling "are we gonna eat or sit here in silence?" The agitation in his tone seemed to snap Jimin out of his thoughts and the younger instantly apologized "sorry... I'm just upset"
