Mom was sitting in the lounge as usual. she had both hands in her lap and was staring at nothing in particular. That's what it was like this time a day. Quiet. We weren't the typical perfect family. There were three minutes of freedom left. Two. One. we all went to sit next to each other on the sofa me and my older brother Gabriel, and little sister Riley sat holding hands waiting for that familiar click telling us he's home."WHERE THE HELL IS EVERY ONE!!"  he shouted, I could tell it was going to be a hectic night .

I could feel Rileys heart beating fast so I started rubbing her hand with my thumb."ELLIE WHY ARE YOUR SHOES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR!!" he screamed at the top of his lungs walking right into the lounge."I guess I forgot"I mumbled. he walked up to me with anger in his light blue eyes and slapped me straight in the face, immediately Gabe stood up and pulled on his arm making him punch him straight in the face "MOTHERFUCKER DON'T U EVER DO THAT AGAIN" he all but roared,walking out of the lounge, like nothing had happened. Suddenly mom came to life checking to see if we were ok, then sent us all to our rooms. As soon as our mom was gone I immediately went to check on him as he checked on me "I'm so sorry Gabe u didn't-" he cut me off

"don't worry about it"

Rose stood up finally saying something "Ellie can we play uno for a while......PLEASE!!!", I just laughed

"yeah let's go"

      It was eight o'clock on the dot when we heard footsteps coming up the hallway. Ten seconds later another pair of footsteps came up the hallway and I decided it was time to break up the little quiet party. So Riley and Gabriel left and went to their separate rooms.

         when they were both in their rooms with the doors locked behind them I threw my self on my bed a started to cry silently. After what felt like forever, but may have only been five minutes I sat up went to my en-suit and looked in the mirror for ten seconds exactly and I promised my self that I would never shead another tear for that man, that terrible and horrible man never again. When I woke up the next morning I was feeling much better I had my school clothes on and I was on top of the world, when out of no where I heard a voice in my head 'hey sweetheart'

suddenly I screamed out of no where and my brother and mother came in with a smile on their face like I had just cracked a joke I was seriously pissed off that they were smirking like dummies and then the person that was in side my head said 'I was just trying to introduce my self shorty, I guess it can wait till later, bye' , My mom decided to finally speak up

"You heard your wolf didn't you " In my head my temper was rising, the fuck she mean wolf?

"Uh..mom care to explain why I'm hearing voices " I asked with sarcasm stirred into my voice.

"Right-" my mom chuckled "-I guess we need to have a talk that is only between me, you and Gabe."
