Chapter 10: Presents

Hello dear readers,

I'm sorry for the late update. Another news is that the story is ending soon! :D I will try to finish it. Have you watch the movie? I could be late but it is really a good movie to watch. Chibi Haru, Makoto, Nagisa, Rei and Rin were really cute. Sousuke was there too! O//O But the cutest is Nagisa -^^- Alright enough of me... = ="

"A gift for Misaki?" Gou asked and Haruka nodded. 

Apparently, Misaki's birthday is tomorrow. Gou and Nitori told Haruka about her birthday. When they told him about it, he didn't know what a birthday is. The reason is mermen or mermaids don't have a birthday or they don't even know when. Because it is about Misaki, he decided about giving her a present. 

"Sorry, I can't think of any...," said Gou as she gave up.

"I see...," said Haruka as he looked down sadly. 

"Why don't you make something, Haruka-san?" Nitori suggested which makes them to look at him. "I mean...someone will feel very happy if they receive a present which is handmade."

"That's a great idea, Nitori!" Gou praised which makes Nitori to rub behind his head shyly.

"Make something...," said Haruka as he tries to think.

In the office, Rin is checking some documents. While checking, someone serves him a cup of tea. He decided to look up. 

"Here's your tea," said Misaki as she gave him a smile. "You work hard, Rin."

Rin decided to stop and began to drink it. "Thanks," said Rin and he handed the documents that he had finished. "Here."

"I will deliver it now," said Misaki as she began to walk to the door.

Before she opens the door, Rin called her which makes Misaki to look back at Rin. 

"Leave tomorrow free," said Rin seriously. "No...meet me at our usual place tomorrow night."

"Tomorrow night?" Misaki repeated. 

"Ah," Rin nodded. 

"Why?" Misaki asked while looking at him curiously.

A faint blush appeared on his face and he began to shout. "Just meet me tomorrow!" Rin shouted. "You better come...promise?"

Misaki giggled. "I promise," said Misaki. "I will meet you tomorrow night. See you, Rin." 

After she went out, Rin couldn't help covering his face with his hands. 

"I finally said it...," said Rin as he began to lean on his chair. Then, he looked at his desk as he pulls out the drawer. He took out the small red box and examine it. "I'm ready." He smiled as he can't wait for tomorrow to come.

Misaki was on her way to submit the documents. She stopped when she saw a familiar figure in the garden. A blush appeared on her face as she smiled. She decided to walk to him slowly. When she is close, she pats his shoulder which makes him to jump in surprise.

"What're you doing, Haru?" Misaki asked happily.

"Mi...Mi...saki...," Haruka stuttered and he quickly hid what he is holding behind him.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you...," Misaki apologized and noticed he was hiding something. "What're you hiding behind your back?"

"Nothing," said Haruka bluntly.
